A few months ago I was taking a look in the mirror as I was getting ready for bed and noticed that I had some legit wrinkles cropping up on my forehead and even down the bridge of my nose. And while part of me realizes that wrinkles are an inevitable part of getting older, somehow seeing them on my own face made the reality of it really sink in. I knew that I wanted to do something to help combat these lines that had started forming as well as take some preventative measures to keep my skin looking as healthy as possible.
I knew that I would need a product with a strong active ingredient such as retinol to help fight these wrinkles. I’m pretty picky when it comes to skincare so when I saw that Neutrogena had a wrinkle repair cream, I knew it was something that I could trust. Neutrogena has been a staple in my bathroom since my teenage years and I knew that their products would be effective yet gentle. Retinols in particular can be scary as they’re known to be harsh and unforgiving, oftentimes resulting in redness and even peeling. In contrast, Neutrogena’s Rapid Wrinkle Repair Regenerating Cream is packed with rich moisturizers and skin-plumping ingredients such as hyalauronic acid to ensure that skin stays hydrated. And being the impatient results-driven person that I am, I was sold on the fact that this product claimed results in just 7 days — I knew I had to put it to the test!

The Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Regenerating Cream uses Accelerated Retinol SA — a combination of the highest concentration of Retinol SA, glucose complex, and hyaluronic acid. Together these ingredients boost retinol’s speed of action and fortifies the skin barrier for rapid improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The “SA” stands for sustained action as the cream will continuously deliver benefits to renew skin and diminish the signs of aging. I timed it so that I tried it first on a Friday night just in case I had any sort of adverse reactions the next day. When I first applied it, I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh clean scent and how quickly it absorbed into the skin. Plus, it felt super moisturizing even on my naturally dry skin and I didn’t feel the need to layer anything on top. When I woke up the next morning, I was actually surprised to see that I didn’t have any sort of adverse reactions — no redness, peeling, or even flaking. My skin felt nourished and balanced.

So did I notice a difference in 7 days? Yes and no. A week later and my skin honestly felt softer and smoother than it had in months! I noticed improved skin texture and less splotchiness overall. As for my wrinkles though, I felt like they were still there. But nonetheless I continued using the product and by the two week mark, I finally saw noticeable changes in my wrinkles! The before/after picture above is taken 2 weeks in between and you can definitely see that the furrows in my forehead aren’t quite as deep. I’m also so impressed with the difference in my skin tone as I feel like my skin looked so patchy before in comparison!
I apply the cream at night only and it’s become a part of my nightly routine that I really look forward to! The product has a lovely feel to it that’s not too heavy and the scent is just so refreshing. It finally feels like I’m turning back the clock in my sleep every night and I love knowing that I’m taking good preventative care of my skin. My friend told me about Neutrogena wrinkle cream, she said it helped her, but she also had a treatment every day like you. I’m gonna try and will buy in the next couple of days.
definitely give this cream a try! as with any skincare product, I think consistency is key but results in as little as 2 weeks is pretty gratifying!
