Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Favorites Part I

Ok, it’s a big day!!  The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally open to the public and it’s time to get shopping!  This year’s Nordstorm Anniversary sale is too good and I picked up lots of new items during the early access that I wanted to share with you.  These are the pieces I’m keeping for myself and would definitely recommend purchasing as they will be staples in the fall for sure!  Lots of items are selling out quickly which is why I’m posting these outfits all at once — I’m sure if I spread them out they’d all be sold out by that time!  I would recommend purchasing even if you’re on the fence and just take advantage of free shipping / free returns that Nordstrom offers so you don’t end up missing out!  I wasn’t sure initially how sizing would work on some of these pieces especially when I initially ordered but have been so pleasantly surprised!  Keep in mind that the sale only goes for 2 weeks and prices will go up on August 7th.

For reference, I’m 5′ tall, about 108 lbs, and typically wear size XS / S.

You might remember this top from my dressing room try-on post but I am so in love with it that I wanted to share it styled again in a full outfit!  I love the combination of ruffles and bell sleeve while the crisp cotton fabric makes the shirt a great option for work.  I actually wore it to the office earlier this week and received so many compliments!  There are buttons that run down the back but thankfully don’t need to be unbuttoned before putting it on — it just adds just a nice detail from behind.  At over 33% off, this top is a great deal!

This lace-up top is one of my absolute favorites you guys know that while I love lace-up styles, it’s hard to find one that’s not too low-cut when you’re petite!  This one from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is a definite winner and I love the addition of the bell sleeves too!  The fabric is a crinkly, lightweight cotton / rayon blend that’s breezy and perfect even to wear in the summertime!

I’ve heard so much about Barefoot Dreams and it’s no joke that this cardigan is probably the softest, coziest piece that I own.  It’s seriously like snuggling in a warm blanket!  The sleeves are a bit long on me but are slim so they stay put and the fabric drapes so well that it doesn’t seem to overwhelm a petite figure.  I’ll be keeping an eye out for restocks in this cardigan as I’m hoping to pick up a few more colors myself!  I did find 2 other super similar cardigan options (here and here) also by Barefoot Dreams that look promising as well and perfect for going into Fall!

How fun is this peplum ruffle top?  I’m in love with the flouncy hem and the swingy style makes it such a fun piece that you can even wear to the office!  Best part is that it comes in petite and regular sizing — I’m wearing an XS Petite and think it’s the perfect balance of structured / flowy.  The fabric is a medium weight and almost like a scuba material — it’s great at keeping it’s shape and resisting wrinkles!

Yep, I’m all about the cardigans and how pretty is this one in the soft blush pink?  The cardigan is a more oversized fit but would be great for layering over bulkier sweaters.  The pockets are on-seam and at less than $50, it’s a great piece to pick up from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale!  Definitely keep an eye out on this one too for restocks!

I’ve been pairing this bag with almost all my Fall outfits and Tory Burch is one of my favorites when it comes to handbags!  I love the versatility of this bag as it can be worn with the straps doubled up over the shoulder or as a single strap crossbody.  The bag is so much roomier than it looks yet keeps it’s sleek exterior despite the fact that I have quite a few things already stuffed in mine (including a bulky wallet I need to clean out!).  There is also a hidden magnetic closure which makes it super easy to open/close without me having to worry about a zipper.  This is my top pick when it comes to handbags to pick up from the Anniversary Sale!

I’ve had my eye on this top since the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year and actually picked it up in 2 colors (sphinx and june bug) when I saw it on sale this year!  This top will definitely become a staple that I can wear year-round both to the office and on weekends.  The v-neck goes a little deeper than I would personally prefer but I would just layer with a slim cami when wearing it to the office.  I love that it’s long enough to cover the bum while the front doesn’t come down too far when worn untucked.
