Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 Try On: 8 Outfits

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally open for public access!!  This is one of my favorite sales of the year as it’s all new Fall styles that are released at a major markdown, and it’s the best way to get your closet ready for the next season.  I was able to get my hands on a few items a little over a week ago (at the Influencer level access), and I apologize that work has been crazier than normal so I haven’t been able to get this post up until now…  But, perfect timing with Public Access opening up and lots of popular items are restocked!

OUTFIT 1:

Socialite Lace Trim Satin Bodysuit (normally $28.90, nsale $15.90) – Ok, seriously one of my favorite outfits and so perfect for my office ladies!  This black satin bodysuit top is absolutely stunning with the eyelash lace detailing.

Halogen Tie Waist Ankle Pants (normally $99, nsale $58.90) – I paired it with these high-waisted trousers also part of the #nsale and the rust color is so perfect for Fall!  There is petite sizing available although I was only able to get my hands on the regular, but I would say that the fit is amazing minus the fact that it’s about 1-2″ too long on my short legs (I’m only 5′ tall!).

 Caslon V-Neck Tee (normally $25, nsale $12.90) – I love anything leopard print and love this casual v-neck tee that I can wear now as well as layer under cardigans / blazers going into colder weather.  The material is slightly sheer although I didn’t have any problems when paired with a nude bra — the leopard print is also available in a long sleeve option!

Frame Ripped Jeans (normally $220, nsale $146.90) – This is my first time trying Frame jeans and wow, completely surprised at how much I love this pair!  It’s always a struggle to find jeans that don’t need any hemming for my short legs but these are perrrrfect.  Plus, with the raw hem it’s actually super easy to just cut the length if it doesn’t work.  The knee distressing is on point and the subtle fade is so flattering!  All sizes are stocked so hurry to snag this pair!

Steve Madden ‘Forever’ Chain Mules (normally $89.95, nsale $49.90) – These are hands-down THE must-buy shoes from the sale!  I always love a cute pair of flats and these mules looks so elevated with the chain link detail but are also so comfortable!  Comes in 4 colors and thinking I need to go back for the white!  Size up a half size to accommodate for the pointed heel.

Tory Burch ‘Carson’ Tote (normally $528, nsale $299.90) – Tory Burch is included in the #NSale every year and it’s always a brand that I’m seeing what I can pick up for an amazing deal.  This tote is one of my favorite purchases as the size is big enough to fit a 17″ laptop, yet not too big to look overwhelming on a smaller frame.

Rails Collins Military Jacket – I’m always looking for cute pieces to layer with this time of year and purchased this military jacket immediately!  The slightly crop fit is perfect if you’re petite and I love the edgy military vibe as it’s different than most of what I own.

BDG Urban Outfitters ‘Josie’ Crop Tank – This crop top I initially tried on in-store and was not impressed.  It ran super small in the ribcage and at the time I didn’t both getting a larger size to try.  But after then seeing it all over Instagram, I decided to take another chance and ordered it in a size Large, the last remaining size at the time.  Omg, I could not be happier with that decision as the large is a surprisingly good fit!  If you’re not keen on showing so much skin, it’s also a great piece to layer with and the stretchy ribbed fabric is incredibly forgiving!

Steve Madden ‘Kaylah’ Snakeskin Booties (normally $134.95, nsale $89.90) – I may have picked up these booties in 2 different colors and I’m not mad about it at all!  The fit is so flattering with the side notches that help elongate the leg, plus the block heel makes it easy to walk in.  Highly recommend if you’re looking for new booties to get you into Fall!

Julia Jordan Floral Puff Sleeve Midi (normally $129, nsale $76.90) – I could not resist this gorgeous dress — the floral print is even more gorgeous in person and it’s perfect for all Fall/Winter weddings or any occasion where you just wanna put on a pretty dress, honestly!  I love that it has sleeves (I’m always a bit self conscious about my arms) and the subtle slit along the front of the skirt.  While the dress is technically a midi length, if you’re petite then it makes for the perfect maxi length dress!

Topshop Crop Balloon Sleeve Sweater (normally – $50, nsale $29.90) – Love a super soft sweater and this one is the prettiest pink!  The fit is cropped but I love the way it looks paired with high-waisted jeans for something casual but I can imagine it being super cute with a pleated skirt or shorts and a wide-brim hat!

Madewell ‘Rhyme’ Top (normally $72, nsale $45.90) – Love Madewell and love the print of this blouse, but would say that it runs much bigger than usual.  I typically size down in Madewell and even though I’m wearing an XXS here, I’d say that it’s still a bit big on me (so size down twice!).  I do love the ruffle sleeve and think it’s so cute when tucking this top high-waisted jeans!

Steve Madden ‘Forever’ Chain Mule (normally $89.95, nsale $49.90) – These are hands-down THE must-buy shoes from the sale!  I always love a cute pair of flats and these mules looks so elevated with the chain link detail but are also so comfortable!  Comes in 4 colors and thinking I need to go back for the white!  Size up a half size to accommodate for the pointed heel.

Tory Burch ‘Carson’ Stripe Crossbody (nsale $149.90) – Whenever I’m running errands, my go-to bag is always an easy wallet-on-chain crossbody.  I love that this bag slings over my shoulder so perfectly and it has compartments built into the purse, making it so easy to access everything I need when I’m already juggling 2 crazy kids!

BP Neon Faux Shearling Bomber (normally $59, nsale $41.90) – Yes to all the cozy pieces, am I right??  This shearling bomber is incredibly soft (like snuggling a giant teddy bear!) and is the perfect layer to wear when going to/from the gym or just running errands!  I love the pop of neon color and after seeing that it also comes in girls’ sizes, you better believe I snagged one for Mei!

Zella High Waist Studio Leggings (normally $65, nsale $42.90) – Zella in general is a brand that is super similar to Lululemon, but at a fraction of the price!  These leggings have the perfect amount of light compression yet isn’t too tight to feel like you can’t breathe.  The fabric is moisture wicking and love that it even has side pockets to fit a large iPhone!

Zella Studio Lite Longline Sports Bra (normally $39, nsale $24.90) – This sports bra literally flew off the shelves when the #NSale initially opened up — fingers crossed for a restock!  I found one last size XS in store, and I will definitely be on the lookout for more Zella sports bras in the future.  I love that it’s a longer length in the front to provide just a little more coverage when pairing with high waisted leggings.
