I’m so excited to share with you a fun project I’ve been working on with Nordstrom! Nordstrom is launching a YOUphoria campaign where the focus is all about finding a style that defines YOU. I was given a gift card to find an outfit that represented my style and was able to work with a stylist as well as a makeup artist to perfect my look. The last time I had so much attention paid on me was for my wedding day a couple years ago so this was such an incredible moment for me.
My afternoon started with going through the different racks with my stylist, Zebran Kabani. I loved all the Fall fashion that had hit the shelves and Zebran helped guide my way through the different departments. It didn’t take long before we had an armload of clothes to try on!
One of the first outfits that I tried on was black BCBGMAXAZRIA dress. I love the beautiful lace inset detailing and even better was that it fit in the waist and length. I could see the dress as being a great piece for a date night but it was a little dressy for everyday.
The next outfit that caught my attention was this Tory Burch Maxine silk A-line dress. The dress fit perfectly in the waist but was a few inches long as well as a bit snug up top (I was wearing the wrong bra for this style dress). The silky material felt so light and I loved the beautiful purple/blue print.
The last outfit was a combination of two different pieces — the Milly City Lights top and the Robbi and Nikki Fit & Flare skirt. I absolutely adore the multicolor lights on the top and the slouchy cut made it more wearable for everyday. The sleeves also had little zippers on either side and leaving the sleeves unzipped about 1″ made it look so chic! The skirt had a drop hem and the flared cut made me just want to twirl!
My next stop was to the MAC counter with makeup artist Tish Mozeke.
Tish helped me create a dramatic look that focused on the eyes and had a pop of coral pink eyeshadow on the eyelid. She shared lots of tips and tricks with me as we went and I’ll definitely be sharing these with you in upcoming posts!
For the final look, I decided to go with the Tory Burch outfit and made the look a little more edgy by adding in a moto jacket and studded ankle booties.

Sounds like a fun event. It's great that you decided to go with a midi length dress. I don't see that often on petites. Your makeup looks gorgeous as well. Have fun at the event =)
