I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  It was a beautiful couple days of sunny weather and it was a great time to get the kids out and enjoying the weather before the summer heat sets in.  We went to a Star Wars themed birthday party on Saturday and it was one of those parties that just leaves you impressed with how well it was planned, decorated, and orchestrated!  Dylan had a great time and even came home with a DIY light saber souvenir – needless to say there have been quite a few mock light saber battles and I’m just grateful that we have a backyard now for it all to go down in!  

The off-shoulder trend is one of my favorites and something you’ll be seeing me wearing a lot of over the next few months!  I find that baring a little shoulder is an easy way to elevate a simple look and really adds a something a little sexy without being too revealing.  This white smocked top is perfect for summer and I especially love the ruffled bell sleeve detail.

These AG jeans are one of my favorite jeans and are 25% off right now!  They’re one of the few distressed styles that actually petite-friendly and I just love how soft and stretchy they are!  I would recommend going up a size if you’re in-between as they do run slim.  I own these in 2 different washes and actually 2 different sizes as I didn’t’ size up on my first pair.  After nearly a year of constant wear, I ended up stretching through some of the distressing on this pair that I’m wearing here as I didn’t size up so just a little tip for you guys.  🙂 

I also picked up these espadrille wedges recently and am in love with the wrapped back bow.  Despite the tall heel, the wedge style makes them super wearable and I just love the extra height too!  

And Kennedy is finally walking on her own!  A couple weeks ago she just started taking a few steps here and there and now she’s literally running around the house chasing after her brother!  We picked up a new pair of Cienta shoes for her that had a slightly thicker sole (we love the Freshly Picked moccasins for helping her learn to walk as they helped her feel the ground but wanted something with a little more padding now that she’s getting proficient!).  I can’t get over the pink glitter of her Cienta Mary Janes, and Kennedy actually love them so much that I have to convince her to take them off when it’s nap time!  

With Mother’s Day happening this weekend, I went looking for a few cards this past weekend and just love Hallmark’s latest Signature line.  I wanted something beautiful and unique and found these cards to be truly unique.  They are filled with dimension, sparkle, and really add something extra!  

I picked up the one with the skirt for my mom as she has always loved to dress up (you can check out our mommy + me outfit post if you missed it!) and I know that she will love how the skirt can actually be pulled out and repurposed as a napkin!  For my mother-in-law, I chose the one with the cupcake stand as she is known for creating the most delicious desserts (her empanadas are like bites of heaven!) and I knew she would love the 3-D cupcake tower adorned with magnolia flowers.  And for my grandmother, the vibrant flower card is perfect for her as she has always loved bright colors and the bits of sparkle are the perfect match for her radiant personality!
