I saw my first Bollywood movie, Robot, in the theater today and I must say, these movies are crazy. It was three hours of robo-dancing, bullets shooting out of fingers, and Indians dancing with llamas. Intermission was included as it can be too much to handle in one sitting. There were elements of numerous classic action movies — Terminator, Matrix, Blade Runner, etc — mixed with traditional Bollywood singing and dancing. Even with all these disparate elements thrown together, the movie was nonetheless quite enjoyable, and I definitely recommend seeing it. Here’s a trailer for the movie:
My outfit for the event was a little less crazy. I remixed the dress I had worn in a previous post and toughened it up with a moto jacket and knee-high buckle boots. At the last minute, I threw on a little bow ring that I had gotten from F21 a few days ago. It was the perfect combination of cute and glamorous, and I simply loved it. My moto jacket was actually very fitting as the robot character actually sports a similar leather jacket when he becomes the tough, bad guy in the latter half of the movie. There were times when I thought I could jump in and help do an action scene or two. Ok, not really. But seriously, you have to watch this movie. ^_^
