Ok, I wasn’t really pantsed, but I am wearing pants. 🙂 You probably realized by now that I’m not really a pants kind of girl. I’m almost always in skirts and dresses and actually have an entire section of my closet dedicated to them. (It’s my favorite section of the closet by far and could stare at it for hours, lol). But alas, variety is the spice of life so today I changed it up again and wore me some cargo skinnies!
I love pairing a tough, military-inspired look with something fun and girly. This floral shell did the trick and it’s the perfect contrast against the moto jacket. Throw on a pair of heels, some feminine accessories, and call it an outfit!
I do have to admit though, wearing my “tough” outfit outside of a church
for pictures did feel a little weird. Florals and leather may mix, but
church and leather… not so much. 🙂

You mixed two totally different styles together beautifully. I have never thought about pairing floral/feminie item with that type of pants (my creativity wouldn't take me anywhere other than a simple t-shirt). Gorgeous photos!! What camera do you use, Kileen?
I have the Canon Rebel XSi paired with the Canon 50mm f1.8 lens. Very basic
entry-level DSLR but works for now!

Nice look, Kileen! I like how you mixed a feminine item (floral blouse) with a toughie one (leather jacket). Oh and your Chanel just completes the outfit. Your Mom did such a great job with those pants. I don’t know how can she hem the pants with zippers. Pretty amazing!

self-conscious about them. 🙂
my mom really does work her magic with altering my clothes! for the pants,
she actually detached the zipper and moved it up. for the jacket, she was
afraid of reattaching the zipper because the zipper ends right where some
sleeve design is, so just cut the zipper. so make sure that the zipper
didn't just keep on going though, she took pliers and removed the stopper at
the bottom of the original zipper and moved it to the end of the newly
shortened zipper. i asked for a quote from an actual tailor on how much
that would cost to do in the shop, and it was $40! my mom is a lifesaver.

yup, F21 ftw! i did have them altered though. they're supposed to be a
crop style but my legs are too short. i even had to get these babies hemmed
too! lol.
