Hello and happy Friday Eve! It’s been a busy week but I think we’re finally settling into that new year groove. 😅 Meanwhile, I’ve been seeing 90s trends being brought back (remember my recent combat boots outfit??) and another favorite is the glen plaid print. Glen plaid is a lighter take on the traditional plaid print and it gives me all the Clueless vibes — Cher’s plaid skirt set almost seems on trend now!
I love a chic work outfit, and glen plaid is the perfect option for those business casual looks. I picked up these paperbag plaid pants and absolutely LOVE how they pull my look together and give it a polished professional look with minimal effort. The high-waisted fit and stretchy fabric are very flattering for accentuating those curves. I do recommend going up a size (I’m wearing S) and agree with other reviewers as it does run slightly small.

I wanted to add some color to my outfit and paired the pants with a cheery yellow sweater. J.Crew has always been a go-to for sweaters that are not too bulky and don’t itch my skin. I don’t wear yellow very often but I actually love how the color brightens up my skin!

I also love that it has the bow belt – I usually can’t wear trousers without a belt because I can’t find a size that would fit my hips, yet be fit enough for my waist. So I adore the feminine touch of the belt – which is usually a masculine accessory.

Amazing article! Completely agree with you about plaid working great for a business casual look. I like to pair mine with a white cotton or silk top. And if I am going for a meeting, then I just pop on a dark blazer on top.
