Hey guys and happy Monday! Last week we all took our turns with the flu but it seems like we’re finally all better — and just in time for spring break! I took today off from work and have plans to hit up one of our favorite parks and maybe check out the kiddie swimming pools at Spa Castle! While the weather has seemed a bit bipolar lately, the forecast calls for temps in the 80s this week and I’m excited to wear all the spring clothes. I stopped by Old Navy last weekend and they seriously had so many cute pieces (and everything is also 40% off with free shipping on $25+ through today!). Stripes have always had a spot in my heart and this striped shirt had such a fun lace-up back detailing and a fun swingy silhouette that I couldn’t pass it up! The lace-up style is pre-knotted and since I did have a bit of extra slack, I decided to have the bow finish in the front to give it the look of a built-in choker — love!
Meanwhile after hearing the raves of the Rockstar jeans for years now, I finally got my hands on a pair! Petite sizing wasn’t available in stores but I was surprised at how well the jeans fit in every other way, including the distressing which hit right on the knees. The mid-rise is perfect for holding the tummy in while the denim is super soft and stretchy, perfect for running around with kids all day. And at under $35, I don’t have to feel paranoid about the little ones getting them stained either!
And finally for my outfit, I added some touches of red for a pop color. Maybe it was the slippers, but I felt oh-so-Parisienne in this cute look! I hope you all have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!

It’s a bit longer in the back than I would like but I love the stripe shirt details!

So funny you say it made you feel Parisian- whenever I wear a red lip and stripes that’s how I feel too!

Normally I am afraid of skinny jeans. They look great on petite women but I being a girl with big hips. I never thought they would look good on me. I was inspired to try them after seeing this cute outfit. They were at a really great price at Old Navy and to my surprise I love the way they fit. Thank you for inspiring me to try something outside my comfort zone.
This is such a great classic look! I love the pop of red with the slippers/slides and that purse! Super cute outfit. Love the stripes! So glad to hear you are all feeling well! Have a fab week!
