The snow day that I had hoped for became a reality! I woke up to a city blanketed in white with freezing rain continuing to come down. Dallas actually doesn’t handle snow or ice very well and there were numerous branches that had fallen overnight and many people were out of power too. Dubbed as the “ice apocalypse”, we were fortunate enough to have escaped the worst of the storm and were just able to enjoy a day at home.
These pictures were obviously taken a few days earlier before the storm hit and when temperatures were actually nearing the 80s. I wanted to do a bit of light layering and mixed a polka dot shirt with a purple knit sweater. Polka dots are one of my favorite prints so I’m always looking to add it in to my outfits for that hint of something fun!
Meanwhile, I’m off to make a cup of hot chocolate before I call it a night! Stay safe and warm out and have a great weekend!
