These boots are business-in-the-front / party-in-the-back and always make those rainy days a little bit brighter. The calf fit is sleek and the boots come up perfectly right below my knee even on my shortie legs!
This utility jacket has been one of my best purchases from last year and it looks like Forever 21 has restocked it for this year! It’s such a versatile piece and one of my favorite ways to layer up when I want something casual and non-bulky.
And now for a little review of something hidden inside these boots — I’m wearing a pair of foam wedge inserts from Invisible Heels! If you’re like me and love the look of longer, leaner legs that you get when wearing a pair of heels but want the comfort of flats, then you definitely should check out these inserts. It’s essentially a 1.5″ elevated heel cushion that you can place inside of any ankle shoe, boot, or sneaker to give you a little boost in height and to make those legs look longer!
For me, I actually now prefer wearing my rain boots, both these Joules and my Hunters, with the Invisible Heels inserts as the boots are a bit roomy on my feet otherwise (Ugg boots are also a popular option for these inserts!). These heels make the boots a perfect snug fit and the double memory foam cushioning actually make walking on them super comfortable. I just love how they make me look a little taller and personally I think I even have better posture with a pair of these sneaked into my shoes!
A little height boost from Invisible Heels! {Picture taken at 40 weeks pregnant — look at that huge belly!} |

Why would a 40 weeks pregnant woman WANT to wear heels of any kind? They already have back and ankle pain, that’s just adding to it! Excuse me for caring more about my own comfort than how I look to other people.
