I’m so glad that summer has officially started! Our days are filled with time spent outdoors, whether it’s at the local park, at the splash pad, or even just on walks around our neighborhood. Summer fruit is also in season and our fridge is literally filled to the brim with peaches, apricots, strawberries, and cherries! To help me and the little one cool off and stay hydrated while we’re outdoors, I’ve been experimenting with different smoothie and tea options (caffeine-free, of course!). I’ve finally landed on a super delicious peach tea smoothie and I’m excited to share it with you today!
The recipe is super easy yet the peach flavor of this smoothie is absolutely incredible. The secret is actually this little bag of Bigelow Perfect Peach tea which I recently discovered on a trip to Target. In addition to peaches, the tea is blended with orange peel, apples, and strawberry leaves — it’s like a freshly baked peach pie in a teacup!
Only a few ingredients are required for this recipe and the best part is that you’re likely to have them all on hand already. First, you’ll want to make a large cup of the peach tea and freeze it into little ice cubes. One cup is usually enough to fill an entire ice cube tray, and since only a few ice cubes are needed for the smoothie, this is great to make-ahead and have on hand whenever the smoothie craving strikes!
Once the peach tea ice cubes are ready, you’ll want to mix in 1 ripe banana, 1 ripe peach (frozen peaches work too), 1 cup of yogurt (I used Fage Greek yogurt but regular will work too), and 5-6 ice cubes. Put it all in a blender (I usually put the ice cubes in last so the result isn’t too watery) and let it whirl for a few minutes until all the chunks are gone. Then just stick a straw in it an enjoy! 🙂
This smoothie is one of our favorites around here. Give it a try and let me know what you think! For other tea flavors and ideas on how to enjoy Bigelow Tea, you can follow along on their Facebook and Twitter. #TrendTea

This is such a good idea! I'm not a big fan of peach flavors, but I'm totally inspired to make a smoothie out of other kinds of tea!
