I’ve been using the Fresh Faces mineral eyeshadows now for about a month and have been nothing short of impressed with them. (I held off on trying the foundation as I didn’t want to risk a breakout before my wedding.) I’m so happy to share a review of my thoughts on their mineral eyeshadows!
This review is just going to focus on my experience with the eyeshadows as I have not had enough time to fully test out the foundation yet. For starters, here are some swatches:
I love the color payoff of these eyeshadows and their vibrancy when applied. Most of the eyeshadows that I ordered have a slight shimmer to it that really catches the light when on your eye. The one matte eyeshadow I ordered is Stone Khakis, which is my new favorite highlight shadow. The eyeshadows are very easy to apply and lasted me all day! I used a MAC paint pot as a base on my eyelid and did not have any problems with creasing or settling into fine lines.
Here are some close-up pictures of my most recent look using a few of these colors:
Colors Used:
Eyelid: Copper Beach
Contrast: Fools Gold
Crease: Bermuda Party
Highlight: Stone Khakis
Base: MAC Paintpot in Groundwork (eyelid), Soft Ochre (brow bone)
Eyeliner: MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
Mascara: Shiseido Mascara Base + Maybelline One By One Mascara
I definitely recommend Fresh Faces eyeshadows and hope to show you a few more eye looks too that I create along the way with their products! I’ve been a long-time MAC lover but have actually switched over to using these eyeshadows exclusively for the past month now! This is pretty huge news. 🙂

Ooooh! I am a huge fan of mineral foundation (been a user of Bare Minerals for the last 3 years) but I have never tried mineral eyeshadows. These look absolutely lovely. I very well may have to check them out. I am curious about how you like the foundation, once you have tried it out a bit.

Wow I'm impressed at how pigmented they were! Were these loose mineral eye shadow or pans?
These are loose mineral eyeshadows. Pigmentation is amazing!
wow bermuda party is my favorite! looks dual chrome.
shimmery colors are so pretty but not always useful for flash photography. doesnt create depth as much as matte colors so be on the lookout for that.
nice review..i will definitely look them up!

Bermuda Party is definitely my favorite too!! A duo-chrome for sure! And
yes, the shimmer can be too much for flash photography. Good point!
You got style, there's no question about that….keep up the good work :]
I've never tried any of their products! Thanks for the review Kileen!

Oooh you're makeup looks gorgeous!!
O wow! That's really pretty! I love the top swatches, they are so perfect for day!

Wow, the eyeshadows are super pigmented!
all of the products have the ingredient "mica" in it, which is common in mineral makeup. bc it reflects light, it tends to make one look dewey but often times, for asian ppl w/oily skin, it just looks greasy. This, again, goes back to light reflecting makeup not being suitable for flash photography. any thoughts on this?
Fresh Faces has a matte
foundationthat
has no shimmer in it at all and is designed for oily skin. I have not
tried out this product myself, but it seems like it would be suitable for
oily skin people to use instead.
Hi Aubs,
I'm Sonda from Fresh Faces. I would like to address your question on mica being light reflecting. There are many different micas out there, some with no shimmer, and some with high shimmer. The main ingredient in my makeup is sericite mica which is as matte as mica gets. It is not shimmery. In the sheer foundation, I also add silk and gold micas which have a little bit of shimmer to them. It is on the low side of shimmer for micas. If you have oily skin and are not wanting shimmer, the best foundation would be the matte. You can always use the glow finish on those days when you want a little shimmer on top of the matte foundation. I hope this helps.
Thank you, Sonda!!

The first set of swatches remind me of Naked Palette from Urban Decay. I would get this Mineral one but I should finish what I have (have Tarte too).
Super pretty!
Oh lovely! I really love eyeshadows with a good shimmer and these look great.
