Gap had a 40% off sale on Monday and I decided to stop in and see if they had any legging jeans available after seeing Extra Petite’s blog post with them on and fitting like a glove. Unfortunately for me they were out of the Legging Jeans and the closest thing they had was the Always Skinny style. The size 00R didn’t look too big, so I grabbed a couple pairs and went to try them on. Oh, the misery…

These jeans were a definite bust. The legging jean style probably would’ve worked out much better but I’m definitely a petite size and can’t do the regular sizing. I’ll just wait until Gap has an online sale to order some 00P legging jeans next time!
Just for reference, here are my current skinny jeans from Charlotte Russe that I bought last Christmas. I wish they still sold this style in the stores, but I haven’t seen it after January of this year. Similar style here.

Hope that was helpful to the petite girls out there. And I apologize for hurting your eyes with the ill-fitting Gap jeans. If there was a Gap Kids where I went, I would’ve totally stopped in there to check out their kids line, especially after seeing Stylepint’s postings. Next time!
Too bad about those skinnys! I actually have the always skinny cropped jeans too and I love them, but I am bigger than you so I suspect that the regulars might still be baggy on you.

"Always Skinny" is a bad name for this design. Haha. Not surprised about the fit of your Charlotte Russe's… brands tending towards younger ladies always have a much tighter fit!
lol, yeah, I still gotta stick with getting jeans at the teenie-bopper stores. but I'm definitely waiting for a coupon deal now so I can buy the 00P legging jeans online and try those out. I've heard too many good things about these jeans to give up!
Why didn't you try the ankle length? I recently got those and they worked out pretty good!
@Anonymous The store that I went to didn't have ankle lengths in any of their 00 sizes. Trust me, otherwise I would have!
awww that sucks! i have the 00P in the always skinny and it fits pretty good and less waist gap.
i think CR has some pretty small items! those jeans definitely look better on you than the gap jeans!
@Ping The majority of my jeans are actually from CR. Their Refuge line in 0S fits me every time and I never have to alter anything. I actually only discovered them about 2 years ago but they've been a godsend!

Thanks for the tip on C. Russe jeans! I have a pair from f21 that I bought in 2000 that are still my most perfect-fitting jeans. The quest is always on!
Hollister's jeans might work for you too. I also really like MEK found at the Buckle. Their thighs are cut slim and the but/rise works well.
