Before / After results of using the Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream |
The weather is finally warming up now and I can’t wait to get out from under all those layers! Over the long winter months (especially this winter that never seemed to end!), my skin tends to get a bit drier and a bit out of shape. As shorts and short sleeves will be on the docket before we know it, I’ve been looking to get my skin looking good again! I noticed that Jergens came out with a new BB Body Skin Perfecting Cream recently and I couldn’t help but be intrigued. I have been a long-time fan of BB cream foundations so I was so excited to see the same concept transferred over to a body lotion. Of course!

Wearing short shorts calls for skin that looks healthy! The BB Body Cream really helped get my skin get back in shape. White clothing? Not a problem! No product transfer at all. |
If you’re unfamliar with BB (or beauty balm) creams, they’re an all-in-one product that combine multiple benefits. With Jergen’s BB Body Skin Perfecting Cream, the lotion hydrates, evens, firms, illumates, and even corrects skin tone! Over the course of 5 days, this product will actually improve the appearance of your skin. Sign me up, right?!
I was a bit skeptical to see how well this product worked (would it be heavy? leave a mark on my clothing? firmess, really?) so I decided to put it to the test. The BB Skin Perfecting Lotion comes in 2 shades, light and dark. I picked up the light shade as I have a pretty fair skin tone. My first impressions of the product were just to see whether it worked as a good moisturizer as I have pretty dry skin, especially on my legs. I found that the cream kept my skin hydrated, and I especially appreciated the fact that it wasn’t oily or greasy. The product absorbed quickly into my skin and I was able to put my clothes on immediately after applying the lotion (it even passed a white t-shirt test!). The lotion has a light tint to it that really helps even out my skin tone and the subtle iridescence naturally blurs out my scars and bruises.
I used this product for an entire week and did actually notice my skin looking more healthy at the end of it! Just adding that bit of color to my skin and blurring out the minor bruises and scars that I have gave me a sense of added self-confidence. I love the idea of a lotion that actually improves my skin over time and this product couldn’t be easier and more convenient to use!

Thanks Candice! I'll give that a shot this weekend! Any particular look you're interested in?
How about an everyday look and cat eye tutorial? Thanks.
Sounds good! 🙂
Thank you for the review. I have to say you are so greatly toned. The crossfit is definitely doing wonders for your legs. I have to get on that now that shorts weather is approaching!
Thanks so much! Crossfit is such a great way to really get into shape and it's so much fun. You should give it a try if you've never done it before!
Hey – I know I'm a month late to the comments section party, but would you mind telling me if you felt that it darkened your skin? I heard that it has some ingredients in common with self tanning lotion, and I'm happy with my skin tone the way it is :/
this lotion did indeed darken my skin a bit. i would say that it's not as noticeable difference as self-tanner but I did notice that I was a bit darker after even just 5 days of using it. hope that helps!
