|NuFace Facial Toning Device – classic model, Gel Primer|
I first heard about the NuFace Facial Toning device from my facialist (you must visit Andrea at LushBeauty if you’re in Dallas!) as she had seen incredible results from a few clients and was going to add it to her spa services. It wasn’t even a week later when I saw HauteLook have a flash sale on the classic NuFace Facial Toning device. I instantly jumped on the sale and bought myself a device. I’ve been using it now for about a month and have seen some pretty impressive results. When I saw that HauteLook was bringing back the NuFace device again for sale, I knew I had to share this gem of a beauty product with you!
Side note: NuFace has released a newer Trinity Facial Toning Device that allows you to switch head attachments which is why the older classic devices are now on super sale. The classic model only has the facial toning device feature which is what this review will be focusing on.
My interest in this feature was primarily because I’ve noticed my skin losing a bit of its elasticity. It’s nothing major as I’m still relatively young (32 years old) but I’ve always been one to take preventative action in an effort to avoid more invasive procedures later. The NuFace toning device has 2 silver nodules each about 1″ in diameter that deliver “microcurrent technology” that stimulate your cells to produce more collagen and elastin.
While I was a bit wary of whether the current would sting or hurt, I was actually surprised to find that it was pleasantly relaxing. There is a primer gel that you apply first that makes it easy to glide the device over your skin. There’s a small knob on the side that allows you to adjust the intensity of the device and I’ve found that a level 5 is perfect for me.
How I Use: Using it takes about 5 minutes and I do during my nighttime skincare routing. Once I’m done washing my face and before I apply my skin products, I take a few minutes to run this device over my skin. After applying the primer gel, I sweep the device upwards along my jawline up to my eyes (about 3-4 strokes) and then again on my forehead above my eyebrows (about 3 strokes). I repeat this for a total of 3 times per side. Then I rinse the off the primer gel and apply my nighttime skin products before heading to bed.

Results: Even after doing one side of my face I can see a difference. The completed side is noticeably more taut and lifted. In addition, my eyes seem more open — it really is almost like a facelift! It’s satisfying to see something so dramatic. Even beyond firmer lifted skin, I’ve also seen better tone and clarity. For me, I cannot live without this device. I’m not getting any younger but this little gadget is definitely helping me stay looking young!
