Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend!
You may remember my Nordstrom YOUphoria outfit that I posted last week. After trying on three different looks, I felt that the fit was a bit off all of the pieces. Even though the Tory Burch dress fit the best out of the item I had picked, the final look was a bit edgier than what I usually prefer. And so took back my items and did a little more shopping — Nordstrom’s women department is so huge that I had several sections that I didn’t have time for the last time I was there! This most recent trip was a definite success as I found a look that defines my style perfectly.
I first found this surplice top first and was instantly drawn to it’s beautiful draping and soft rosy color. I wasn’t quite sure what to pair it with, but when I ran across this oxblood full skirt, I knew it was it! Oxblood is a color I’ve been meaning to add to my closet as it’s it transitions into the cooler Fall weather perfectly. A skinny leopard print belt was the final piece to pull the look together as well as add a pop of pattern to break up the monochromatic color.
This outfit is definitely much more my style, and although I wish I had come across these pieces initially when the campaign photos were originally taken, I’m still glad I am able to share this look with you. Nordstrom has such a huge selection of clothing and the quality of every item is obviously top tier. It really is a YOUphoria moment when you find that perfect outfit!
If you live in the Dallas area, please come to the Fashion Face-Off event this Thursday, Sept 19 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Nordstrom in Dallas Galleria mall! I’ll be there along with my fellow co-hosts Katie from Modern Eve and Elizabeth from The Now Stylebook. There will be giveaways, makeovers, sweets, refreshments, as well as a custom pop-up shop that I will have put together. It will be a great time and I would love to meet you!
VOTE for my look here. Voting is now closed, but I hope to see you all there!
