Every fall, I seem to get lured in to buying new tweed pieces for my closet. When Forever 21 had a free shipping promotion last week, I couldn’t help but order this cropped tweed jacket to try out {it went down to size XS!}. When it came in, I was surprised to see how well it fit around the shoulders and torse. While the sleeves are a tiny bit long for my liking, there is actually a slight tapering as the sleeves progress which make it perfect for scrunching up {and staying up!} by the elbows.
To bring some color into the outfit, I paired the jacket with some fun blues and golds — bright but still in royal hues that keep the look classy. I haven’t worn this blue ruffle shirt in months now but I absolutely love all the chiffon fabric and the feminine layers. Unfortunately I realized too late that I was seriously underdressed for the cold front that blew in last night. I was shivering in this outfit after just 10 minutes outside taking pictures this morning! Good thing the rest of my day is spent inside — from parking garage, to office, to home garage, and finally to my toasty living-room fireplace where I’m not sitting with a warm bowl of soup. 🙂

Love that color combination! I didn't know F21 offered XS online … I've only seen that size in store, and when I've looked at online items they seemed to start at small. Great find!
yes, they normally don't carry XS in their tops, but this one was an exception. love it!

LOVE the color on the ruffle blouse, and of COURSE the tweed jacket….its timeless….just keep on adding more pieces. My daughter has to work at F21 at 4am on Friday after Turkey Day…they are having an employee Holiday mtg Sunday. Ill let you in on any sales if she knows ahead of time, lol.

I bought the tweed jacket from Ann Taylor Loft last season. I was highly disappointed in it. I just bought the tweed jacket from Yesstyle and the tweed that Jean, from extrapetite.com recommended. So I'm hoping that both will be better. If they both don't work out, I'll pick up your style.
