Hey guys! This week is a bit crazy for me so I apologize in advance if I miss a post here or there — I do post more often on my Instagram though if you’d like to check there! This past weekend we had guests over for dinner for the first time since we’ve moved into our new place and it was so much fun (and a little stressful!) cooking up food for everyone. If you follow me on Snapchat you may have seen a glimpse of everything I cooked up. Entertaining is not something that comes naturally for me but it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Thankfully everything went over amazingly well and part of me is feeling like I’m can check off one more box in the “adulting” category. It’s probably only appropriate that today is actually my birthday. 🙂
Meanwhile, this dress! I’ve been wanting to add more variety to my closet and love the bright, happy colors of this dress. The standout feature is the ruffled sleeves and I just love how it adds a little flirty flair to the look! The shift style makes it a perfect throw-on-and-go piece and while I dressed it up with lace-up heels, it would also be great dressed down with studded sandals like these included in the #nsale!
I’m obsessed over this bag! I’ve been all over the saddlebag trend lately and the Chloe ‘Drew’ bag is arguably the “it bag” of the season. While I did already own the smaller mini version of this bag in a pebbled gray color, I wanted a smooth leather version and in a slightly larger size. This one from SheIn is just amazing quality (the leather is super soft and definitely better than my previous one) and the chain is also not quite as thick and bulky. I’ve actually met up with friends and many of them have asked to try it on! It’s by far the best look-for-less option for the Chloe ‘Drew’ bag and the $30 price tag is kinda ridiculous if you ask me!

Kileen, what a fun and interesting dress. Not only are those flutter sleeves extraordinary, but the colors and pattern are so unique, too. It looks fabulous with those amazing caged heels, too. Gorgeous!
I love entertaining and cooking food for guests! It is stressful though, but just keep at it and you eventually find your groove with it and it becomes easier and much more enjoyable with experience!

Happy Birthday—I think entertaining gets easier the more you do it. I’ve finally learned I don’t need to stress out if everything isn’t ready at the same time, or even if things don’t come out great!! It’s the fun and company that makes it special!!
I linked our dresses from VIPme, because I found out the company because of you! And then the sleeves on this dress you’re wearing remind me of my mom’s jumpsuit in today’s post!!
I love the colors of this dress—so bright & fun!

Happy birthday Kileen, I hope you have a great day! What a gorgeous dress–I love the colors and the pretty flutter sleeves! I love to cook, but entertaining is not my strong suit–it stresses me out! But usually once people are actually at my house I enjoy it… it’s just the planning/cleaning/etc. that I don’t like. 🙂
