Fall officially kicks off this tomorrow but I’ve been in a fall state of mind for the last few weeks now! Fall fashion is one of my favorites as I love cozying up in sweaters, adding layers to my outfits, and updating my shoes with the latest styles! Every year around this time when the weather cools down, it usually also comes to my attention that my kids have outgrown their cold-weather wardrobe (usually at the worst time when a cold front has already blown through and my kids don’t have anything except t-shirts and sandals to wear!).
I’m so excited to be partnering with Grapevine Mills today as I went shoe shopping there last week to check out their latest selection of fall items and updated my entire family’s shoes with the latest styles. Shoe shopping doesn’t have to be hard (or break the bank!) so I’m sharing my top 4 super easy tips on how I save when shoe shopping for multiple people!
Visit the outlets
The outlets are definitely where the action is! Grapevine Mills is the largest outlet and value retail shopping destination in North Texas and I was so impressed with the selection of shoes for the entire family. Steve Madden was my first stop where I found these red suede loafer flats for myself and I actually ended up switching into wearing these flats on my shoe shopping trip as they were so much more comfortable than the shoes I had worn that day! These shoes come in 11 different colors online and I’m actually considering picking up a pair in the camel suede or maybe leopard too! Other stores for women’s shoes included Saks Off 5th (I was this close to coming home with a pair of Jimmy Choo pumps), Off Broadway Shoes, Rack Room Shoes, Shoe palace, Sketchers, and of course athletic stores such as Nike, Adidas, asics, Converse, Puma, Finish Line, and Foot Locker.
As for Adrian, I knew going into my shoe shopping trip that he’d be probably the hardest to shop for since he’s picky about his shoes, but I stumbled across this pair of blue-ish gray sneakers from Ben Sherman from Saks Off 5th and knew I had struck gold! I knew that he’d love the low-key, lace-up style and it was the perfect balance of casual yet dressy. And seriously, can you believe it was under $50?!
Sign up for rewards programs
In picking up Adrian’s shoes at Saks Off 5th, I was actually able to take advantage of a few extra savings simply because I was a member of the stores More! Insider program. Be sure to look into rewards programs as they’re an easy way to save a few extra dollars on your shoe shopping. Many of them offer extra coupons, points that reward you for every dollar spent, and access to exclusive sales!
Buy Multiples
Most of the stores that I popped into had extra savings if I purchased more with Buy One, Get One 50% off specials. It’s a great opportunity to pick up shoes for multiple people in the family (especially at stores such as Steve Madden, Rack Room Shoes, Famous Footwear, and Shoe Palace that offer a great selection for men, women, and children). I found these shoes from OshKosh for Dylan from Famous Footwear and love that they’re dressy yet athletic. It’d be a shoe that he’d love to wear and that would look nice for those times he’d need to dress up. Famous Footwear was running a BOGO 50% off special in store, so I ended up buying this pair in his current size and one size up to take advantage of the promotion! At the rate that Dylan grows, I figure it’d be a good idea to have a backup pair ready for him!
Take advantage of deals / promotions
How cute are these sneakers that I found when shoe shopping for Mei? I stopped into Payless Shoe Source and was impressed with the great brands and super cute shoes I found. I used to own a pair of Airwalk sneakers when I was in high school and couldn’t resist this pair for Mei. I love the white leather paired with the metallic pink stars, plus the padded insole makes them comfortable while the built-up outsold makes them durable.
To celebrate shoe shopping, Grapevine Mills is giving away a pair daily from now until September 30! Plus they are offering shoppers a chance to win a Simon® gift card to put toward new shoes.

I finished up my shoe shopping trip in under 2 hours and was pretty proud that I was able to outfit the entire family with new shoes under $150! Grapevine Mills has an incredible selection of shoes — whether it’s new running shoes for the gym, designer stilettos for a night on the town, or sneakers for the kids, I was able to find the shoe that fit what I was looking for and at an unbeatable price!
Thank you to Grapevine Mills for sponsoring this post and thank you for supporting that brands that support this blog!

Do you know the name of the airwalk shoe your daughter has? I saw them online a few months ago on Payless and fell in LOVE with them but my daughter’s feet were too small for the smallest size 5 available… now I’m on a mission to find them! (They are not on Payless website anymore 😔)
Hi Connie! They’re the Airwalk Girls’ Toddler Suri Star Court sneakers. Hope that helps!
