Yesterday I started my first day at a new job. The past few weeks have been busy winding down and transitioning my responsibilities at my former company where I spent the last 3.5 years. While it was bittersweet to leave the co-workers who had become like family to me, it was time for a change. I took a 1-week break in-between jobs, and while I originally had thought to maybe plan a last-minute vacation getaway, I instead chose to just stay put, letting myself just physically relax as well as mentally detox. So I thought a spa day at the Crescent Court in Dallas would be perfect.
Taking time for self-care is so important but sometimes just finding the time to completely unplug when you’re at home can be tricky. For me, being able to step out and have a mini spa moment can be the best investment. So I was especially excited to have a few hours to myself at the Spa At The Crescent Court in Dallas a couple of weeks ago.
The Spa At The Crescent Court
Spa Day at the Crescent Court in Dallas
The Crescent Court is one of Dallas’ most prestigious hotels so it’s no doubt that the in-house spa is equally as luxurious. The Spa at the Crescent Court in Dallas was recently renovated and the 22,000 square-foot space is absolutely amazing. There are spacious men’s / women’s lounges, a whirlpool with both a hot and cold dip, relaxation rooms, as well as a romantic couple’s suite. Just soaking in the quiet and soothing ambiance was a treat.
My Spa Services
Rose Grand Cru Facial
I started off my spa day with the highly-acclaimed Rose Grand Cru Facial. This 50-minute treatment is the ultimate when it comes to anti-aging and uses a combination of various Babor Skincare products combined with skin massage techniques. I could literally feel my stresses melting away and even fell asleep for the latter half of the facial as it was so relaxing! The subtle rose scent was calming and I woke up feeling rested and recharged. Plus, my skin was absolutely glowing!
Cryotherapy Treatment
I finished off my spa day with a stop into their fitness center to try out their brand-new cryotherapy machine. Cryotherapy literally translates to “cold therapy,” and is a technique where the body is exposed to extremely cold temperatures for several minutes. There are so many health benefits including muscle recovery, pain/inflammation reduction, detoxification, and increased circulation — it’s similar to why athletes dip into an ice bath after a hard workout!
This was my first time trying cryotherapy and actually wasn’t quite sure what to expect as far as how cold it would be. While I was undressed underneath my robe, I was also instructed to first slip on the heavy socks and gloves that were provided outside of the cryotherapy booth. I then stepped into the machine, slipped off the robe, and felt the cool air start swirling.
We set the timer for 2 minutes as it was my first time. Temperatures gradually dropped down to -220 degrees and while the first minute or so weren’t bad at all, it did start to get really cold the last 30 seconds. I focused on wiggling my fingers and toes for those remaining seconds and before I knew it, time was up!
Before I knew it, I immediately felt more alert and had a rush of energy as I stepped out of the booth. I don’t think I could ever get myself to get into an ice bath. But I can definitely withstand 2 minutes of a cryo treatment! Cryotherapy treatments can be pricey if done alone, but the best part is that it’s only a $35 add on when combined with any other spa service at the Crescent Court!

A spa day sounds like a lot of fun, this is my first time reading about cryotherapy. It sounds pretty intriguing and I can see how it could be beneficial. I won’t even get in a cold pool, so I’m not sure I would like it.

So glad you were able to get this done for yourself and congratulations on your new job! I am not a spa person but I wouldn’t mind trying cryotherapy to experience it. Treating yourself to a spa day after a long flight is the best thing ever. Upon arrival in Lithuania, I immediately began to look for the best ways to relax. It was here that I discovered the Aurumcentras massage center https://www.aurumcentras.lt/ , it was amazing. Massage helps relieve muscle tension by increasing oxygen levels and improving blood circulation throughout the body.
