Ah, I’m so sorry it’s been so long since an update! Adrian was out of town last week for a business trip and I’ve been dealing with some personal issues too that have taken up my time in the evenings. But, I hope to be back this week and have lots of exciting posts coming up! I wore this dress out over the weekend as I went exploring Carrollton, a small city just outside of Dallas but only about 15 minutes from where we live. The city has such a cute small-town vibe and the downtown area especially was just so quaint and charming! I spotted this mural on the side of one of the buildings there and fell in love with the vibrant and colorful flowers.
I love donning easy comfortable dresses over the weekend and this maxi was perfect for exploring a new town. I love the light chiffon fabric and while I almost always have the problem of maxi dresses being too long on me, this one actually wasn’t too bad once I slipped on a pair of shoes that added a little extra height! The colorful vertical stripes give it a retro vibe while the side slit add a modern update to the typical maxi style. These ankle booties have been a go-to for me as I love the fringe detailing and they’re just so comfortable to walk in — I’ve gone for hours and my feet are still happy by the end of it!
