We took a trip out to JCPenney the other day and I had talked up the idea of buying a gift for his “mei-mei” (baby sister in Chinese) all morning. The idea of mei-mei becoming a reality is starting to sink in and he was definitely excited by the idea of getting something for her. (Our plan is for Dylan and mei-mei to have a little gift exchange when they meet in the hospital for the first time.)
On our way out, Dylan couldn’t help but pick up a little something for himself. I’m usually at fault for doing the same thing too. 😉
I wasn’t planning on wrapping up the gift yet but Dylan insisted the instant we got home! I didn’t have a proper bag or wrapping paper ready but he was happy putting it inside this over-sized gift bag!
With all the craziness of this holiday season, it was definitely nice to slow down and enjoy the gift-giving process from a toddler’s eyes. JCPenney is hoping to spread the joy this season by reminding us that it is better to give than to receive with their #JustGotJingled campaign. It’s such a positive message and creates such a sense of community during this hectic time of year that I’m so happy I could help spread the word!
And to help ease some of the stresses of holiday shopping, here’s a gift guide with my picks for everyone on your list!
Be sure to check out JCPenney’s #JustGotJingled campaign to get inspired to give back and pay it forward! My favorite is looking through the “Random Acts of Jingle” Pinterest board as it has given me so many ideas on how to share the holiday spirit with those around us.
And if you’re curious to see how other bloggers are gifting others this season, you don’t want to miss this slideshow!
