I have to admit, the first time I laid eyes on the popular Alexander McQueen skull scarf, it didn’t appeal to me. Being the girly girl that I am, skulls just don’t really fit in there anywhere. But, the more I saw of this scarf, the more I grew to love it. And before I knew it, I wanted it. Awesome how trends work that way right?
So here I am, sporting my own skull scarf. I never thought I’d see the day. Meanwhile, I gotta figure out a way to tie it so it’s not so long. A scarf probably isn’t supposed to go down to your knees…

How does the acrylic feel?
Skull scarves are fun, and this one looks great with your outfit! Why not triple wrap it around your neck so it creates a collar look? McQueen makes a gorgeous pale green one – the print is very subtle, and I love it! But until I can actually spent $300 on a scarf, it's a fashion dream. 🙂
im not a skull scarf fan, but it looks fine on others. i also hate to spend so much on designer scarves, it seems like such a waste!! im still obsessed with plaid/ burberry prints!

I don't usually go for skulls, but I love that McQueen scarf, too. The first time I saw it I didn't even realize it had skulls on it because it's more subtle when tied.
You just reminded me of how much I want mustard pants. Why did I ever stop looking for them? Must start the search again right away.

ok here's my advice.
I think the scarf would be styled better if the ensemble was a tiny bit more edgier OR more casual. How about pairing it with ripped skinnies, or arm party bracelets that have some rocker chic to it like studs & pyramids, or pair them w/sunglasses. Doesn't have to be a loud statement, but something else (addt'l jewelry, hairstyle, shoes) to bring out the edgy essence of the scarf.
also, to shorten the scarf, don't wrap it so tightly around your neck. Let it loosely drape on your chest. This way, it will also bring the eyes towards your face, instead of blocking off your neck.
