Boot season is almost over, but I wanted to share a discovery I came across in the past few weeks: lightweight supportive socks that are perfect to wear under boots! In the past, I’ve always just worn a pair of my athletic socks under my boots. This year though, I ran into a couple issues that prevented me from falling back to that solution.
To start off, I bought these gray suede ankle boots several years ago and loved the simple buckle design. Unfortunately I recently found that the boots were a bit too snug with my normal socks (my shoes do fit a bit differently now post-pregnancy) and my left pinkie toe especially was just squished in the toe box. Going barefoot kinda weirds me out and nylons just didn’t stay put so I ended up not wearing these booties for the longest time. I was so happy to find these Kushyfoot low cut foot covers as they are the perfect solution — a minimal foot cover that cushions my foot all around with an extra pad in the forefoot too! I was so glad finally was able to wear these ankle boots again (outfit here)!
I also added a pair of slim tall boots to my collection this past winter and I was stumped as to what socks to wear with these calf-hugging boots. Any sort of socks that I ended up trying would leave an unsightly visible sock line! These Kushyfoot microfiber crew socks ended up being just what I needed as they are thin (the fabric feels similar to a pair of tights) and I can wear them under my boots without anything showing on the outside. As a bonus, they add an extra layer of warmth too that I definitely appreciated during those polar vortex days!
I should also mention that these Kushyfoot socks are designed to massage your feet while they’re worn. While I don’t usually have issues with achy feet on an everyday basis because of my stationary desk job, I will say that these socks were supremely comfortable!

Oh, wow! These sound perfect. Especially for tall boots. I currently am a sport sock wearer with my boots. Not the most comfortable.

I'll admit, I'm an athletic sock wearer 99.9% of the time regardless of what shoes I'm wearing (assuming socks are needed). Kileen did you have any issues with the low-cut socks moving on you? I have some in another brand and while they're a great sock alternative, I can never keep mine in place. They're always sliding off my foot (usually off the heal) and then I get annoyed and take them off.
I did have issues with these socks shifting around on me when I wore them with flats and pumps! The socks wouldn't slide off my heel but they would just shift around on my foot. Most of my shoes show a bit of toe cleavage so if these socks aren't perfectly positioned then they did end up showing. That's why I didn't show them worn here with those types of shoes as I didn't have a great experience with it in that way. 🙂 The Kushyfoot low cut socks did stay on my foot thought without any problems as there's a nice heel elastic that seemed to help it stay on.
