Happy Memorial Day to all my US readers! I’d just like to take a minute to thank those who have served us in the armed forces and defended the freedoms that we enjoy today. I’ll be doing a Hero WOD today (“Kalsu”) at my Crossfit box in honor of those who have fallen and it never ceases to amaze me just how much grit and perseverance our soldiers demonstrate every day.
I wore this outfit yesterday as we met up with a few friends for brunch and it was all about being casual and comfortable. This maxi was actually the first one that I ever bought and it’s since been a favorite that I look forward to pulling out every year. I love the splash of colors and the ruffle hem at the bottom just gives it that extra feminine flair.
My boys were also out with me during my photoshoot yesterday so I couldn’t help but snap a few pictures of them as well! Dylan is always full of expressions and you’ll never see him without his fedora on. We actually lost our first one that I picked up from Target and have since replaced it with a couple that we found on sale at The Children’s Place Outlet. He doesn’t seem to mind, thank goodness! And since seeing another boy at the playground with his same backpack, Dylan has also insisted on wearing his backpack everywhere now. He looks like such a grown-up boy with it on!
