Tasha, owner of Imperfect Concepts
It has always been a dream of mine to run my own business since I was a
kid. ICB started with $400 and a passion. I used my facebook photo
gallery as a platform to showcase the items I would be carrying in the
store. There was an over whelming response so I knew the time was right.
Word of mouth has been the driving force of my business and I am
thankful for it.

2. How do you find some of the really unique designer pieces that you sell on your boutique?
I have a keen eye for great items. I use to shop thinking would I wear
this but now I shop for all my customers. People are always asking me to
find this look or this type of garment that I am always on the hunt for
great items. Plus it does help that vintage store and estate sale
managers know me so they always point out in the direction to great

3. How often is new inventory added to the boutique? (i.e. how frequently should I be stalking your site? 🙂
New merchandise is typically added around the 1st and the 15th but
there are times i find great stuff that I put up immediately. So, best
thing is to subscribe to the RSS feed cause it will tell you when I add
new merchandise. I have a couple customers who say they come on the site
weekly though. LOL

4. Imperfect Concepts has several amazing vintage finds. Are you into vintage clothing yourself? Yes,
my wardrobe is full of vintage clothing. It used to be a plethora of
designer items but now its a mixture of the two. I love knowing someone
will not have the same piece as me.

5. You mention that you
also consult as a stylist for a group of entertainment insiders in the
Dallas, TX area. Do you have any tips on how someone can build up their
wardrobe? Know who you are and what you are comfortable wearing
first. Then find people or celebs who dress in that matter. Building a
wardrobe doesnt have to cost you millions. I own several pair of William
Rast Jeans and they were all $19.99 from TJ Maxx. Buy staple items and
build from there. Nina Gracia’s One Hundred book is a great tool.
Thank you, Tasha, for giving me the opportunity to interview you! All my readers can enjoy 15% off the site using code cuteandlittle. Don’t wait! I might just buy those Miu Miu sandals before you know it! 🙂
P.S. In case you’re wondering what I wore today, I’m sporting some neon brights!
