I popped into the mall super quick last weekend to pick up a Valentine’s Day gift for the hubby, but got sidetracked by the sale going on at Banana Republic on my way out. I noticed these Sloan pants hanging in the petites section in my favorite cobalt blue color and decided to give them a second try. I had actually purchased them online months ago and it turns out I had picked the wrong size! I had never tried pants from Banana Republic before and ended up selecting the same size as what I normally wear in their skirts. The result was pants that were tight in the thighs and as well as too long (about 1″ past my heel). Since they were so long, it didn’t dawn on me that I needed to go up a size.
Thank goodness I gave these pants a second chance last weekend as the next size up fit nearly perfectly! I have them rolled under about 1″ still as they hit right past my ankle instead of above. It should be an relatively easy hem job though and hopefully I can tackle it this weekend during Dylan’s naptime. The material is thicker than the typical pant and I think that’s part of the reason for the flattering fit. It almost seems to contour your figure a bit and makes those problem areas (thighs for me) a bit less noticeable… Just my theory but no question I love these pants for it! 🙂
