Striped Fur Vest + Pearls

Vests are one of my favorite layering pieces for fall and winter and I’ve had a soft spot for faux fur vests for a few years now.  They just perfect for wearing everyday and effortlessly add that extra element to an outfit.  This particular vest comes in two lengths and I find that the shorter length is ideal for petites as it hits right at the hips and doesn’t overwhelm a smaller frame.  While the color is described as camel online, I find that mine was more of a pewter gray (which I didn’t mind at all and actually kind of prefer!).  While a fur vest can be dressed up or dressed down, I went with a classier look and paired it with a winter white sweater and a layered pearl necklace strand (both currently 40% off!).

Meanwhile my schedule is going to get a whole lot busier the next few weeks as Dylan starts his winter break from school tomorrow and Christmas is only 6 days away (eek!  I still have packages to ship…).  I’m planning some fun trips with him around town; I can’t wait to hit up the zoo, science museum, and check out some local Christmas exhibits that I know he’ll absolutely love.  Even though it’ll be hectic, I’m really looking forward to having my little sidekick with me again!
