Summer Must-Haves to Beat the Heat

It seems like every August, the summer heat starts feeling relentless and we start counting the days of triple-digit weather.  Lately it seems like I’ll step outside and within 2 minutes I’m already a sweaty, melty mess under the blazing sun!  Babbleboxx recently sent me their latest box of goodies to beat the heat (you may remember their previous “feel fab” box) and I couldn’t wait to try out some new goodies to help chill me out!

First things first, gotta stay hydrated!  Being out in the sun can be really draining, and while I don’t drink sodas or carbonated beverages usually, I make an exception for LaCroix!  LaCroix is a sparkling water and it’s completely 100% natural (zero sodium, zero sugars / sweeteners, zero caffeine, and 0 calories / fat) so it’s a treat that I can enjoy without feeling guilty!  The subtle fruity flavor and fizz is super refreshing in the midst of a hot summer afternoon when I need a pick-me-up!  I’ve enjoyed LaCroix sparkling water for a few years now and didn’t even know they had a new Curate line that came out!  These have a slightly bolder flavor than than the traditional LaCroix and are inspired by French and Spanish cultures.  There are 6 flavors total and the pomme baya is my favorite — it’s an apple berry combination that is the perfect mixture of tangy and sweet!

Trying out new nail polish colors is so much fun and butter LONDON is one of my favorite brands as their formula provides one-stroke coverage and can usually last up to a week without chips.  Of course there’s no formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, DBP, toluene, camphor, ethyl tosylamide, xylene, or TPHP in any of their products.  I love that these colors are bright and colorful — perfect to spice up my nails before my Jamaica vacation this week!

Tempting by Sofia Vergara

Do you guys watch Modern Family?  It’s one of our favorite shows that Adrian and I like to catch up on together and Sofia Vergara’s character has always been one of my favorites with her Latin charm and beauty!  Sofia has such a magnetic personality and this perfume is such a wonderful representation of her. Her latest Tempting fragrance has a beautiful mix of juicy exotic fruits, bold floral accents, and vibrant wood notes.  It’s flirty and feminine but not overpowering — just how I like my scents!  The 1 oz. fragrance is currently available exclusively at Perfumania online and in stores.  The 3.4 oz. (as well as the 1 oz.) will hit major retailers nationwide in September.

Nad’s Exfoliating Body Wax Strips

I’ve always been scared of waxing on my own but these strips were surprisingly easy to use!  These Nad’s strips are the world’s exfoliating wax strips and uses a 2-step method to remove unwanted hair and minimize ingrown hairs (my main complaint whenever I shave!).  These unique strips have an exfoliator on the outside and a wax on the inside.  The coarse outer surface buffs away dead skin and releases trapped ingrown hair, allowing he premium wax on the inside to adhere and remove even more hair.  All I know is my my skin was incredibly smooth and hair free!
