I used to think the idea of summer scarves as somewhat of an oxymoron. I mean, who wears scarves when it’s close to 100 degrees outside? But then I realized, the hotter it is outside, the harder the A/C is blowing inside. The scarf now makes sense when you’re sitting in a 68 degree icebox.
The key to finding a good summer scarf is to pick one that’s sheer and lightweight. Even better if it has a fun print on it! I picked out a few below if you’re interested. 🙂
Wanna know another reason why I love summer scarves? It was actually the only way I was able to discreetly nurse Dylan in public during those newborn days when he was feeding around the clock. I didn’t leave the house without having at least 1 scarf in my purse. In fact, I probably wouldn’t even have made it out of the house otherwise. That and my Baby K’Tan. But that’s a whole separate post altogether.

This is such a cute combo, love how the scarf resumes the colors of rest of the look in a lovely pattern, I used to feel the same way about summer scarves but they totally come handy at the end of the day or when the ac is on!

A summer scarf is a great way to stay warm when they blast the A/C, but I never thought about the breastfeeding aspect! Bonus! You've done a great job with this one! Always a fan of polka dots!
Cute pairing! I have cobalt jeans but I never know what to wear with them other than neutral (ivory, black) colors and even then, they never seem to look right. They look great with pink though!

I've never really understood the summer scarf. I bought one awhile back and returned it because i just had no occasion to use it. If it's hot out, why in the world would I want to wear a scarf?!!? Plus the ends always get in the way of everything and they never sit perfectly. I think a necklace would work just as well for accessorizing.
Then again, as I sit in today's way-too-air-conditioned office, I think a scarf would have been nice. And not a winter weight scarf, because it's summer after all.
The scarf ends do get in my way too. I actually tied this scarf in a knot so that it would work more like an infinity scarf and I just looped it around my neck twice.
