T3 Micro Whirl Trio

For years now I’ve pretty much been styling my hair the exact same way.  I love the look of curled hair and my 1″ curling wand was pretty much my default go-to whenever it came time to do my hair.  A few weeks ago, my existing curling wand broke and it was just what I needed to finally decide that it was time to switch it my hair tools!  I’ve had my eye on the T3 curling tools for some time now ever since I started using their Featherweight Luxe 2i blowdryer last summer and started seeing a difference in the shine and health of my hair with it.

I decided on the T3 Whirl Trio as I decided it was time for me to try some subtle changes with my hairstyle.  While the girly-girl in me will always love curls, I love the fact that the Whirl Trio comes with 3 different interchangeable barrels that create 3 different looks!  Included in the set is a 1.5″ straight barrel, a 1″ straight barrel, and a 1.25″ to 0.75″ tapered barrel.  The barrel is made of ceramic and infused with Tourmaline to ensure smooth, frizz-free hair.  There are 5 heat settings and designed with Digital T3 SinglePass technology that will adjust the temperature for consistent, healthy hair and one-pass styling.  Plus, how beautiful is the white and rose gold enclosing?  I wouldn’t mind having this T3 Whirl Trio sit out on my counter permanently it’s so pretty!

So before we head into my T3 Whirl Trio review, my hair is naturally straight, color-treated, and difficult to have keep a curl.

1.5″ Straight Barrel

I was super excited about the 1.5″ barrel as I LOVE the look of big bouncy waves.  I would say though, that this barrel does more in adding volume than really creating curls.  I would recommend t this large 1.5″ barrel for those with long hair who are looking for a something that will give them the look of oft romantic glamour.

1″ Straight Barrel

The 1″ straight barrel is one that I’ve been most familiar with as its the size I have always chosen when it came time to style my hair.  The main difference with this T3 Whirl Trio wand is that it creates defined curls and is the perfect choice for those looking for a pretty curl!

1.25″ to 0.75″ Tapered Barrel

I was most surprised by the results of the tapered barrel, and it has quickly become my new favorite style!  I love the more natural, everyday look of the tousled waves and even though the barrel goes down to a small 0.75″, I actually don’t find that the ends of my curled hair are very tight.  Instead, the waves are beachy and have a less uniform, curled look that I really love!

Overall with the T3 Whirl Trio, my hair looked incredibly shiny and healthy — a happy result of the tourmaline-infused ceramic barrels.  Now as a busy mom, I’m also someone who looks for a curling tool that creates curls that last for days since I just don’t have the time to be curling my hair everyday.  While both the 1″ straight barrel and tapered barrel allowed me to go at least a couple days without having to re-curl, the tapered barrel curls were actually still going strong into day 3 and 4 post-curl!  Let’s just say that I have a new favorite now when it comes to styling my hair!

The T3 Whirl Trio is an incredibly great deal and if you’re someone looking for a tool that gives them different options when it comes to styling their curled hair, you definitely need this tool!  And if you’re new to curling your hair or struggle with getting your curls to keep, I highly recommend the styling wand if you’ve never tried it before.  Not only are they far simpler to use than traditional curling irons, but they are also fool-proof and you’ll be amazed at your beautiful curls!  I did pick up 2 curling iron attachments in the 1″ and 1.25″ size (see pic below) and will be trying out various looks with those as well!
