Hello!! It’s been over a week since my last post and it’s been some crazy times over here. How’s about a life update? It’s been nearly a month of quarantine now and I can truly say that I don’t think I’ve ever been busier in my life, lol. My job has switched to working from home and as some of you may know, my full-time job is as a software engineering lead and manager at a consulting firm. My current project is related to tax software so as you can imagine, the last few weeks have been crunch time as the April 15 tax deadline is fast approaching. If you’ve ever heard of “busy season”, it’s no joke!
Homeschooling was an unexpected obstacle thrown into the mix so it’s been quite the mental acrobatics for me to switching between teaching my kids lessons on how to count syllables to then figuring out depreciation schedule calculations. 😆 But, we’re figuring it out, and I’m honestly so grateful to be able to still do all of my work remotely while enjoying the company of my kids nearby. Huge thanks to all those who are out there on the front lines fighting this virus!
I do have a few posts planned on sharing more about how I’m transitioning ourselves to quarantine life, but I figured I would pop in a share a fun Target Spring Dresses try-on haul with you first! 2020 Target Spring Dresses
OUTFIT #1: Target A New Day Tiered Dress
Dress: Target A New Day Tiered Dress (XS / size down) – on sale! (similar)
Necklace: Amazon Star Choker
Shoes: Trask ‘Lindsey’ Sneakers (6 / size up) – on sale! (similar – 40% off w/ SPRING40)
Phone Case: Sonix ‘Koala Love’
This dress is my favorite from the bunch and I am in love with the beautiful green floral print. The fabric is a medium weight material that has a beautiful drape and I just love the tiered ruffle maxi look. This is the perfect throw-on-and-go summer dress, and it’s such a cute look paired with sneakers for running errands. It can be a bit blowsy in the waist area so if you do prefer a more cinched look, I recommend styling it with this white woven belt also from Target (shown on me here!).
OUTFIT #2: Target V-Neck Tie Jumpsuit
This next piece isn’t a dress but as a wide-leg jumpsuit, it definitely comes close! The fit on this piece is incredibly flattering and I just love the tie detail on the neckline, giving it that sweetheart look that’s feminine and flirty. The back is fully smocked so no worries about any bulges either. The wide-leg bottoms do have a slit opening on either side, and I find that it gives just the slightest peek of skin when you’re walking. Sizing is true-to-size to slightly small, so size up if in-between.
OUTFIT #3: Target Who What Wear Tiered Dress
I live for polka dots so it’s no wonder that’s two out of the five dresses I’m sharing with you are spotted! This first one has a mod vibe with larger polka dots against black it’s definitely giving me retro vibes paired with the tiered skirt. While it looks like this dress may have sold out for online , many stores are still carrying it and you can purchase to pick up in store. I would say that sizing seems to run a little big as I’m wearing the XS and had quite a bit of extra fabric all around.
OUTFIT #4: Who What Wear Shift Dress
This polka dot printed dress is another winner and I can’t get over the gorgeous mix of splattered polka dots. With a waist tie, 3/4 length sleeves, and a feminine neck tie, it has all the details that I love in a dress! I do wish that there were pockets but small price to pay. I paired the dress with ankle booties when the weather was chillier but it’s a great one that can transition perfectly into warmer weather with sandals!
OUTFIT #5: Target Xhileration Chiffon Dress
And finally, a pretty-in-pink kind of dress with gorgeous chiffon layering, flutter sleeves, and a ruffle trim. The soft blush is a beautiful neutral that would be a great option for wedding and baby showers or even just out for brunch with the fam! Sizing runs true-to-size to slightly small, so size up if you’re in-between!
