Just when I thought cold weather was behind us, we get thrown for a loop! We had a series of chilly weekends here and can’t even believe I had to pull out the kids’ sweaters from storage. Meanwhile I’ve already started prepping for summer and picked up these adorable toddler sandals for Mei a few weeks ago — I saw them on the Stride Rite website and it brought back memories of my own childhood as I actually had a very similar pair!
Needless to say, I was pretty excited when these adorable toddler sandals came in but I actually wasn’t expecting how much Mei would love them! She had been wearing her ‘Atley’ Mary Janes non-stop previously and I was kinda worried that she would refuse anything different (have I mentioned how opinionated this girl is in her fashion sense? I’ve been trying for the past 2 weeks to convince her to wear a Victoria Beckham x Target dress I picked up for her but she just won’t have it, lol!). Mei wanted to put her toddler sandals on and immediately started pulling at the Velcro. I was actually surprised to see that there was Velcro as the strap looked like it was a buckle closure. But, turns out the buckle is just for decoration, and it’s actually a super convenient Velcro closure that even Mei can tighten / loosen to put on her toddler sandals by herself!
Stride Rite shoes have always held up the longest through the wear and tear that my kids put them through. There are notable differences in the quality of their shoes too as the leather is always super soft and the insole is made out of memory foam (they feel so soft and cushy!). Part of me thinks that Mei also can tell the difference in comfort with her Stride Rite shoes and that’s why she has insisted on wearing her toddler sandals almost exclusively. I’ve never needed to break in any of our Stride Rite shoes and it’s a pretty huge consideration when it comes to my little ones. Mei is pretty vocal about shoes that don’t feel exactly right or that dig in to her skin, so I was glad to know that even with all the straps on these toddler sandals, she didn’t have any complaints!
Fit is always one of the most important considerations and I love that Stride Rite offers wide widths too — we definitely needed them for Dylan’s feet when he was younger (he was such a chubs!). They offer two ways to find the perfect fit in their sizing guide and even have a super helpful video showing how you can trace your kids’ feet to then determine their shoe size. Shipping and returns are always free on their site so I never have to worry about paying extra if something doesn’t work out! Be sure to check out the newest Stride Rite arrivals — I’m thinking about getting the washable Made2Play shoes for Dylan and Mei as I love the idea of being able to toss their dirty shoes into the washing machine and not having to actually scrub them myself to get them clean. Choosing a kindergarten for a child is a very responsible and painstaking task. When choosing a kindergarten, it is necessary to take into account not only the conditions of the institution, but also the personal and professional qualities of educators. I advise you to consider in more detail the option childcare center singapore
