So, as Adrian (my bf) says: if 1 person took the time to ask, there’s probably at least another person out there wondering the same thing. In that regard, here’s a quick tutorial on how I created my blogroll:
I had to create a new, separate blog just for my blogroll and added the Blog List widget:
Then the Blog List configuration lets you sort by date of last update:
Once the widget is configured, just drag the widget to the center of the template where the blog posts typically go.
Note that since this is a whole separate blog, I basically had to export my current blog template and import it into this new blog so that it’d have the same look and feel (I’m tricking my viewers to thinking they’re still at the same site, haha). It was a bit of a pain, but I couldn’t figure out a way to put the Blog List widget onto a page in blogger otherwise.
To download and upload your blog template go to Design -> Edit HTML:
