Weekends are all about dressing down and being comfortable while still looking chic. This was a simple outfit that I wore recently on out first family trip with Dylan out to the Texas State Fair! The temps were still getting into the 80s and with very little shade, I knew I needed an outfit that would keep me cool, shade me from the sun, and allow for lots and lots of walking. This lightly layered outfit with a utility jacket, felt hat, and ankle booties (with a super soft sole!) was perfect for a morning of midway rides, eating giant turkey legs, and taking pictures in front of the legendary Big Tex. While fall is slowly creeping its way into Texas, it was nice to be able to sport some shorts and a t-shirt one last time!
Meanwhile, J.Crew Factory is having a 25% off everything sale this weekend (code EXTRA25)! My picks include the herringbone quilted vest (see on me), navy suckered plaid shirt, gingham shirt, wool pants (love the mustard and burgundy), and the number two double-serge wool pencil skirt (I own the pinot noir and heather pine colors. also plaid has been brought back — see on me). And let’s not forget the super popular camel sweater which sold out almost instantly last year!
