There are so many great ways to layer in the fall but vests is definitely one of my fave. Given my love of wearing white this time of year, this white quilted vest was an obvious choice for me. J.Crew Excursion Vests are also my fave as they’re not too puffy (I’m already big enough with this belly!) and the petite sizing allows for it to hit perfectly at my hip.
I also have been looking for black knee-high boots and fell in love with the slant-angled opening of these boots that I found the other day at Forever 21. While my calves aren’t super skinny, they are a bit more narrow than average and I do typically need to find boots that are more narrow in the shaft so that it doesn’t look like I’m swimming in my shoes. These are surprisingly narrow and the shaft height also hits perfectly right below my knees on my 5′ tall frame. Online reviews seem to confirm that these boots are suited better for petites as a few complained that they weren’t really “knee-high” height on them. With the simple design, slant-angled opening, and the contrast zipper, these boots are my new everyday fave!
