I’ve been loving the windowpane print lately and found this sweater the other day at Forever 21. The monochromatic black and white is easy to pair and the style was a bit of classic meets retro. While the sweater is intended to be cropped, it hit slightly below the waist for me and was actually the perfect length to pair with pencil skirts (I did layer a white cami underneath to avoid any mishaps). I can also see this top as a perfect layering piece over a button up — I’m thinking chambray, plaid, or just plain black!

First of all I am LOVING the windowpane trend. I don't consider myself trendy in the least bit, but I have to say that I am feeling this one. My boyfriend and I go to the Salvation Army off… is it Lemmon and Harry Hines(???)… well, whatever the location it's considered to be the Neiman Marcus of Salvation Armies… anywho we found a GREAT men's windowpane button up there. It's Italian and I forget the name, but it's a VERY well known designer… anywho the button up was less than $5!
Second, I love how the 85mm is used in your photos. the Bokeh looks amazing! It really allows the ready to focus on the clothes.

If you were to layer this crop over a chambray or any button up, would you go a size bigger for the crop top?
Kileen says
This crop top isn't very tight on me and goes past my waist so I feel like maybe it's already 1 size bigger than it should be (I'm wearing size Small and didn't see an XS option). I would probably stay with my current size but if it were more form-fitting I would size up!

Thanks, Kileen. I usually have trouble when I try to layer two XS pieces together as it ends up feeling tight.
