First of all, thank you so much for your feedback from my previous post on how whether you guys liked photo effects on my pictures! I’ve decided that for my everyday outfit posts, I’m going to stick to just natural photos without any sort of effects. While I think effects are really cool (and so easy to do in Lightroom and kinda tricky to do in Photoshop), it does take away from the natural colors of the outfit and make it seem a bit too artificial. And since I am hoping to inspire people to dress more colorfully through my outfits, I realized that adding post-processing effects to warp the way those colors were displayed was a little deceiving. So it’s back to plain-Jane pictures. At least now you know that what you see in through your computer is what everybody else around me actually got.
And guess what? It’s finally weekend time!! I’m sporting some super bright, hot pink lipstick to celebrate. And you know it’s really hot pink cause all these photos are au-natural. 🙂
Oh, and do you see those little color dots? I think I’m gonna start putting these below every outfit post to help give you some color inspiration! Thoughts? I totally love how Jessica does this on the bottom of her posts! 🙂

Sneaky belt!!
Just Better Together
You have such great posture… I need to work on holding myself with the same confidence that you do — maybe it is because you are so little? You carry yourself well!
I like the tucked in cardi with the blue skirt!
I really like the little dots at the bottom! It's a fun way to see all of the colors you used.
That skirt is amazing! And so unique! I love the pink lips as well. I think I may just sport some pink lips tomorrow! 😉
Love the skirt. What a beautiful color. The cardigan in my opinion plays down the skirt. I'd love to see the skirt paired with a crisp white (or any color) button down blouse with the collar turned up, oh-so slightly. I'm imagining an Audrey Hepburn look: Romantic, sweet, and sassy all at the same time. ; )
Great look!
I like that skirt ;)!
Follow you…
I love your skirt! and your hairstyle!;)

So pretty! My favourite are the shoes!
Definitely agree with keeping the photos simple. Brightening or deepening are probably the only edits you need, keeps the colors true. I love your photos though. Love this outfit as usual, the skirt is adorable!

I love the idea of wearing a scarf as a belt and you look beautiful!
Gorgeous! Love this outfit dear!
xx
Your pictures are anything but plain jane! Your outfits, locations and the photography itself are amazing! But yes, I do prefer the natural coloring. And I love the polka-dot surprise the belt added to the outfit! So cute!
North Meets South
The dots break the colors down simply. I generally take all the colors in and get inspired but the dots will help on those days that I have nothing to wear. You know those days?
I totally agree on keeping the natural state of your photos. I think style blogs should first and foremost be about the style, then about the photos. I do enjoy looking at great photos but it should just keep the clothes as the focal point and not distract from it all.
Somebody commented on your posture and I agree! I should totally check myself and have good posture all the time. It makes for great photos!
I really prefer the true colors of an outfit like you have here. It helps me get a feel for what you actually wore. I really love the skirt you are wearing.
My Heart Blogged
I love the tulip skirt! (And the bokeh in these photos are great too, thumbs up to your photographer).
thanks! these pics are all done by me using my tripod/remote setup. i'll
try to get adrian to help out on weekends. 🙂
Awesome! I see the remote now! Haha. I don't have the guts yet to pull out the tripod and set up in a "public" place. LOL.
Kileen I absolutely adore your hair like this you look like a pretty ballerina!
I love everything about this outfit, the colors, the ruffles, the polka dots, the shoes!! & the louis =)

Your pictures are getting so great! Not that they weren't great before but now they look like something from a magazine:D
Girl…I have to ask…how in the world do you find time for everything?? You must have extra hrs in your day! 🙂 super cute outfits, planning a wedding, posting, and commenting! How do you do it all??
the skirt is super cute!

Interesting! Where is the pink in your outfit though?!
I really like the bun, especially with your bangs! So cute. Good call on the pictures. Editing can be fun, but it doesn't make too much sense in a style blog IMO. Plus, it takes forever and can sometimes be overkill!
I think you made a great decision regarding the pictures! Oh and the pink lipstick looks great on you and it's oh so spring-y!

Just found your blog…I am in love! 🙂 Will definitely be stopping by again!
I adore that skirt…oh, and your cardi, I am constantly amazed at what one can find at Forever21…and for a great price 🙂 xx Cat
I love the pleating of the skirt! And the royal blue color is so pretty 🙂
I love this skirt with the scarf as a belt. Super chic. Seriously I agree with Natalie…you do have great posture. Where/are you a dancer? Kiah
oh, it's the hot pink lipstick. it's just a little touch of hot pink, but i
loved it. 🙂
i was a gymnast for a few years. maybe that's it. 🙂
oh, haha, thanks for thinking that i do it all! it's hardly the case.
recently i've had to really cut down on twitter cause it was taking up too
much time. 🙂
how cute!! totally love it
The sequins on the cardigan are such a cute touch. I'm glad you went the natural route with the photos! I'm playing around with editing myself but I always post at least a few photos that show the real colours of the clothing..
Your skirt is stunning! Love the colour, the pleats, the gray of your top. CUTE is right!
The colour dots are awesome too! I some times have trouble matching colours that I'm not used to so its great to see how someone else combines them!
