You guys ever have those nights when dinner time sneaks up on you and before you know it, the kids are hungry and you realize you don’t have anything prepared? We came back last weekend from our trip to Jamaica and were so busy trying to get our house back in order that I didn’t even realize when dinner time rolled around and it was too late to buy groceries and cook. I was so glad to have recently heard about Zoës Kitchen family meals as it was the perfect dinner time solution that was both quick and healthy! The kids have always loved their white beans and pita bread so when I mentioned we were having Zoës for dinner, they were pumped! After placing our order online (they also have a mobile app!), everything was ready to pick up in 15 minutes!
Zoës Kitchen family meals come with options to feed 3-5 people and 4-6 people. We were feeling pretty hungry that night so we opted for the larger 4-6 person option. The kabobs are a favorite for everyone in the house (Adrian and I both love the steak while the kids love the shrimp). With the kabobs, I was so surprised that I could pick out 10 kabobs for the family meal (so many!) that I did a mix of everything (steak, chicken, shrimp, and veggie)! It also comes with two large quart-size tubs for the sides and we chose the braised white beans and roasted vegetables. The larger family meal option also came with a side of hummus, pita bread, and a large Greek salad — it was a lot of food!
Our meal did not disappoint and everyone was digging into the food. The kabobs were juicy and flavorful, the beans were braised perfectly (the kids seriously go nuts for their white beans!) and the salad was fresh and crisp. Dylan also enjoyed a little post-dinner treat of chocolate milk! And did I mention just how much food came in our family meal?! The larger family meal option we chose was only $39.99 and we had enough leftovers for two more meals after this! The smaller 3-5 person meal option is only $29.99 and I’m thinking that it might even be enough for us next time. You seriously cannot beat the value of these meals!
The kids were pretty tired after our long day and it was so nice to be able to relax at home and enjoy some delicious wholesome food. It was so nice to be able to take the tension off preparing dinner and just focus on spending time together as a family. I have a feeling now that school has started and we’re busier than ever trying to juggle schedules, the family meals at Zoe’s Kitchen are going to be a regular occurrence over here!
