Happy Friday!! I’m running a bit behind this week as my schedule for the next few weeks is gonna be busy! We’ve got several large project launches coming up and have family in town for a small birthday celebration as Dylan turned 5 earlier this week! Embroidery trend is major this season and it’s an updated take on what your grandma might have had on her tablecloths. From tops to dresses to even jeans, the embroidery trend is everywhere and I’m just loving the darling details! I find that it adds boho-chic, almost folk inspired feel to any outfit yet can look modern and refreshing with the right pairings.
I recently added this skirt and just love the mix of gingham, ruffles, and embroidery! While the front is wrapped around and tied together on the side, the other half is sewn together to prevent any chance of the skirt getting unwrapped! The embroidered parrot makes for a fun, summery addition and I’ve been wearing it dresses up with some wedges or down with some sneakers. I’m wearing a size S and would say that it fits true to size!
I’m linking up a few of my other wishlist embroidery trend pieces in the widget at the bottom — be sure to scroll to the end!
And other embroidery pieces that caught my eye — I have this dress in my shopping cart already!

I do so love embroidery, and I also love gingham, so I think that skirt is calling my name. Though I’ll never wear it quite as well as you 😉
