Hello and happy weekend! I didn’t get a chance to finish this post yesterday (work has been super busy and I just can’t keep my eyes open past 9pm these days! 😆) but I wanted to share this outfit as well as some of my favorite spots for Dallas dates! I picked up this dress last weekend and am in love with this fun colors — plus it’s even an extra 15% off right now and under $40! The chiffon fabric is lightweight, flowy, and perfect for staying cool in the summer while still looking chic! The sideways stripes are surprisingly flattering (and even slimming in my opinion!), plus the halter neckline is always my pick for showing off some shoulder. While the length is a bit on the longer side, but it’s perfect for pairing with some tall espadrilles to give you some added height and elongate your legs.

If you’re looking for someplace where you can have an excuse to get a little dressed up, here are my top ideas for Dallas Dates!
HG Sply
HG Sply is a must-visit if you ever go to Dallas (it’s where I shot the photos from above!) as they have an amazing rooftop patio view where you can see the Dallas skyline as well as sunset. The food is absolutely delicious and I love that they focus on clean ingredients that are paleo-centric. A few of my favorite dishes include the zucchini pasts, the short ribs, and most definitely the mussels if they’re in season!
Uchi
I’m a big sushi lover and Uchi is hands-down my favorite place. The chefs here are incredibly creative when it comes to creating flavors and textures to satisfy every part of your palette and I learn so much from the waitstaff too every time that I come. I highly recommend going for the Omakase, or chef’s tasting menu selection, as it really gives you the opportunity to try the best of the best from everything! You’re able to give them any preferences / restrictions as well as set a price cap for your meal. We’ve done it twice now and have been seriously impressed every. single. time. Prices are on the higher end but you can go during happy hour and sit at the bar for discounted options!
Flora Street
Flora Street is a Stephan Pyles restaurant and was recently named “Restaurant of the Year” by D Magazine. I’ve gone to this restaurant for both lunch and dinner — and have even met Stephan Pyles himself there! Every entree here is a work of art and I just love the attention to detail. A few of my favorite dishes include the Nantucket Scallops and Pacific Octopus Ceviche. Save room for dessert as the Fleur De Sel Chocolate Mousse is to die for!
Gemma
Reservations are a must (and actually can book months out!) but Gemma is a real gem of a restaurant! You can be as adventurous as you want here but my favorites include the squid ink bucatini and rabbit pappardelle (which I don’t think I would’ve ever ordered had it not come highly recommended but it was indeed surprisingly delicious!).
Porcino’s Southern Kitchen
Porcino’s is still a relatively new restaurant to the Dallas scene but I’ve since been twice and have loved it every time (tried it first when Sandy came to Dallas to visit!). I was a bit skeptical given that it’s a “southern kitchen” and I generally go for lighter fare, but I LOVED the edamame hummus, ahi tuna salad, as well as their mussels. Their cocktails are also super creative and super good — highly recommend the Melon Collins!
