Charlotte Russe Flower Statement Necklace
My mirror played tricks on me this morning. I had recently bought these jeans a few weeks ago despite being concerned about the extra length in the legs. But, I had figured at the time that I could fit the jeans over my legs and thus pull off an elongated leg look. Not to mention the fact that I really loved the whiskering detail in the front and the fact that my butt looked really nice in the back. Oh, how many jeans I’ve been conned into buying just cause it made my butt look good! Let’s not go there…
The outfit actually seemed to look ok when I checked the mirror this morning, but unfortunately these pictures are telling me otherwise. Not only is the length a bit long, but I think the jeans are a bit big altogether. What do you guys think? I’m thinking at the very least I’ll need to get these jeans hemmed, but maybe I should also zap them in the dryer? Part of me actually enjoys the fact that they’re a little looser actually… maybe I can cuff them for a boyfriend jean look? Agh, help me decide! ^_^

I think the extant room looks great, and if you plan on solely wearing them with heels the length looks alright too, but hem them a bit if you plan on wearing flats with them.

I don't mind scrunchy legs on skinny jeans, so I think you look fine! I can understand if you wanted to tailor them a bit though. I just prefer to keep them scrunched, or tuck them into boots 🙂
I actually hadn't noticed that the jeans were too big until you pointed out, I do think they are a bit long but with heels I barely noticed. I have been wearing a lot of skinny jeans because they are on trend but I used to love looser fitting jeans (because I like to climb up and down). I think they look cute on you but a trip in the dryer can probably shrink it enough to still be comfortable.
Also, you didn't show us a back view…tease! (jk jk 🙂 )
Hey, I scrolled up and down 3 times hoping I could see a butt-view. 😀 Can't really help you without that picture, Kileen! Ok, kidding aside, I think these jeans look fantastic on you. The length is just a tad bit long, but yes, you can cuff it and it'll be fine. If you think it's just a little big, a few times in the dryer would shrink it enough to fit you perfectly. I haven't told you the story about my LOFT jeans. They are now too short, can you believe, after a few washes. I think what you don't like about these jeans are NOT the length OR fit, it's the way you pulled the hems over your sky-high heels. I personally do not think pulling the hems over high heels look flattering. It works better on boot cut jeans. Scrunch it up or cuff it, and see how that works. Let us know.
@Vicky I was kicking myself for not taking pictures of the butt! But thank you for the suggestions on just leaving it to scrunch up at the bottom. I'll definitely try that next time!
I like scrunching up the bottom on my longer pair of skinny jeans as well!
I think they look fine on you but if you think they're too long, have you tried folding it upwards? Not back-folding as if you were trying to hide it but deliberately showing the folded parts? I hope that made sense, haha!
Nevertheless, they look great! I love the necklace! You shop at Charlotte Russe a lot, dont you? =)

@my favorite pink i totally understand what you're referring to when you say to fold it upwards! i really like that look and will have to try it here!
and yes, Charlotte Russe is in my top 10 list of fave stores. 🙂
mm I think the jeans look fine. I don't mind a little scrunch at the bottom of the legs. and lol I have a few pair of skin tight jeans, they look hot, but most days I'd rather wear my loose fitting ones, more comfy…
P.S you got a great blog, I followed you!
You should try shrinking them before doing anything to it. : ) They are a bit long, but you know what? Skinny jeans ALWAYS look amazing stacked so you should pull them up to your ankles and let them create the layering effect.

Hey, pretty girl! First of all, the outfit as a whole is gorgeous. I adore your belt and necklace. And the gorgeous neutral look of the whole ensemble is super classic and very Fall-esque. Personally, I like the length of the jeans on you. I think it's great to pull them over the heel a little and make your legs look longer. I do, however, think the width is a little baggy around your itty bitty legs. I might exchange them for a pair in a smaller size or a pair of their jeggings. You'd have trouble wearing these with flats or tucking them into boots if you planned to wear them any other way than with heels. Know what I mean?
Trust me, I have this problem ALL the time. I'm 4'11", so if something fits in the waist, it's WAY too long, and if it fits in the butt, it's too big in the waist. The crotch is always too low and the knee wear is in the middle of my shins, usually. Ugh… shortness.
@Fashion Momma it's so hard being small isn't it? I was avoiding the jegging look cause I feel like they're a little too tight sometimes in the thigh area (i have muscular thighs thanks to years of being a gymnast). CR does go down to a 00S in these jeans so I might give that a shot next. oh the troubles of jean shopping when you're short!
The wash on the jeans & whiskering makes them look too big because it looks like there's more bunching than there really is (trick of the eye!). They're a bit long, but they really look quite good on you as is.
kileen– i like the jean as the they are. they look great on you and i also agree with most about liking the scrunching on the bottom 😉
@Ping thank you! i'm so glad all you chic fashionistas are helping me out! jeans are always a toughie for me. 🙂
I didn't notice the jeans were too big till you mentioned it… I don't think they're too long, and I like the scrunchy look too! As long as you wear them with heels I think they'll be fine. 🙂
I really like this whole outfit though, it's just a very chic relaxed look.
I don't think the jeans are too long especially if you wear heels most of the time.
Your necklace is very pretty too. I used to go to Charlotte Russe all the time time but haven't stopped by lately.
I don't think the jeans are too long or too big, or at least they do not look it on pictures. It's really about personal choice, if you want longer length and wear high-heels this length would be perfect, but if you want to wear heels that are not as high and/or flats then you can always take them up which will still work if you decide to pair them with higher heels.
I think these jeans fit you fine, not super tight but still form fitting. It does look a bit long, but it's not noticeable because you have the hem over your heels. If/when you wear flats, just tuck the hem underneath and you should be good to go. I totally hear ya on jeans making butts look good. I'm a sucker for those too 🙂
I think the sweater is too big especially in the sleeves! The jeans I like the fit but they are def too long so therefore it makes it appears as if the jeans are too big- does that make sense? If the hem was the right length- then it would transform the fit.
I LOVE that necklace! So cute!
@Really Petite i agree that the sleeves are too big! i bought an XS and not XSP since it was on sale and there weren't any more petite sizes available. i'll have to keep this in mind and stick to petite sizing next time!
They are a little long, but its works with those high heels. Perhaps you will just always have to wear a snugger top to balance them out.
I really like those nude peep toes, they look like they would be a great quality basic to have.
Soooo cute! I love that beige sweater. And those heels are hothothot!

I think the jeans fit you really well although they do look a little more like straight-legs rather than skinnies.
BTW – how do you make your eyelashes look so gorgeously long and lush? Have you thought of doing a makeup application tutorial?
@SewPetiteGal my secret is L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum that I use twice a day. but the right eyelash primer and mascara really make a huge difference too. and I'm so glad you requested a makeup tutorial cause I've been thinking about doing some too! 🙂
I always have the scrunchy jean leg problem. I don't think these look bad…but if I were you i would just cuff them. That would look cute!
LOVEEEEEEEE this outfit!!!! You look so pretty! & thank you, definitely buy the vest trust me!!!!!

I am glad someone else buys jeans just because their butt looks good in them. I thought I was alone there so thank you.
I think your jeans look fine on you! 🙂 BUT, if you want to hem them, I'm queing up a jeans-hemming tutorial very soon 🙂
Love the necklace!
I've got a par from Guess and I seem to ha e the same problem with the length but decided the look is actually pretty cool! When work inside ankle booties, not even an issue!
You look fantastic!
I love the detailing and the color of the jean! They look so comfortable and stretchy! I think the length is perfect with your heels, and just cuff them if you want to wear them with flats.
i didnt notice they were long till you pointed it out. haha. i think it's good as it is, but if you want to do something, a hem to make it a bit shorter will work better than just cuffing it. lol. but that's just me. it doesnt matter what you do as long as you feel good about it. 🙂
anyway, come visit me and hope you follow my blog too, thanks!

Great outfit! But I think the jeans are little longer, especially look from the side. I would like an inch shorter for the skinny type of jeans. Love the statement necklace and your sweet smile. 🙂
Maybe a bit long, but I don't think they look big at all. They do make your butt look nice! 😉 And those are some fierce shoes, girl!!
Have a lovely day!
Jen
U have absolutely fantastic, beautiful face :D:D
