Summertime in Texas is hot and humid like nothing else. For the longest time, I dealt with flyaways and hated how it just made my hair look messy — and definitely not in a cute way! This season, I’ve been trying out a few new products (with one really killer product!) that have made a world of difference with my hair. I’m super excited to share the 5 best products for dry frizzy hair that have helped me finally tame the frizzy hair situation!
For reference, I have naturally straight hair that is very fine and has a slight wave when air-dried. My hair and scalp are also on the drier side.
Kerastase Cicaplasme | Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil | Ouai Anti-Frizz Hair Sheets
Goody Clean Radiance Hair Brush
5 Best Products for Dry Frizzy Hair
TOPICAL PRODUCTS
1. Kerastase Blond Absolu Cicaplasme – I love Kerastase products and switched over to using the Kerastase Blond Absolu line at the recommendation of my hairstylist to help protect my balayage treatment. While I originally purchased this product to use as a heat protectant, I’ve actually noticed a huge difference with how it keeps my hair smooth!
My theory is that because the product contains hyaluronic acid as well as edelweiss flower antioxidants, it somehow must seal some of the rough cuticles in my hair. The Kerastase Cicaplasme is lightweight (perfect for my fine hair) and I definitely see a difference in the shine and silkiness of my hair with this serum. This is one product that actually has legit 5 stars on Sephora!!
SHOP ENTIRE KERASTASE BLOND ABSOLU LINE
2. Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil Serum – This serum is another Kerastase bestseller and a favorite of mine for sure (I promise I’m not sponsored by Kerastase, lol!). A blend of 4 different oils, it works to add shine, nourish hair, and prevent breakage. I use one pump of this product when I’m finished styling my hair and want to give it some added smoothness and shine — mostly focusing from mid-shaft to the ends of my hair. The Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil is one of the few products that doesn’t make my hair look stringy or greasy after I apply it and still leaves my hair with volume and bounce!
SHEETS AND BRUSHES
3. Ouai Anti-Frizz Hair Sheets – These hair sheets I picked up randomly on my last Sephora haul and while I don’t use these regularly, I do stash them in my purse for emergency situations. This product can be a little heavy so I just use it for touch-ups and use it on very specific problem areas.
4. Goody Clean Radiance Hair Brush – I picked this up on a whim when I was shopping at Walmart and wow, it’s surprisingly good! It’s made with copper bristles that actually help redistribute the oils in your hair. For me, I only use this hairbrush when my hair is dry (I use a Wet Brush to comb through it when it’s wet), and I’ve found that it detangles my hair without pulling out as much hair like other hairbrushes, plus I’ve noticed that the Goody Clean Radiance hairbrush helps with static!
Rev-Air Reverse Hair Dryer – $30 off w/ SAVE30
THE TOP FRIZZ REDUCING PRODUCT…
When I first heard about this product, I was such a skeptic. I heard the term “reverse hair dryer” and didn’t really have any idea what it meant. But at the time my hair drying process was entirely too time-consuming. Something I just did not look forward to. Mainly because I’ve always found that my hair gets damaged rather easily whenever I apply heat to it. So I actually end up with more flyaways whenever I do blow-dry my hair.
You guys know I love my Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer (my review here), but let me tell you, I’ve now switched over to exclusively using the Rev-Air Reverse Hair Dryer and don’t ever want to go back. This is by far one of the best products for dry frizzy hair. Let me tell you why.
Rev-Air Dryer + Wand Holder – $30 off w/ SAVE30
MY PERSONAL REV-AIR REVIEW
For starters, Rev-Air is a 2-in-1 tool that both dries and straightens hair, using both less heat and less time than you traditional hair dryer. The “reverse” part comes in as the Rev-Air actually uses a light flowing suction with minimal heat to whisk away the moisture from hair. While the reverse air tension actually straightens and aligns hair for a super shiny finish. Unlike a traditional blow dryer, the Rev-Air also closes and seals the hair cuticle so the hair is smooth, silky, and incredibly soft.
HOW TO USE THE REV-AIR:
The first time I used this tool, I was absolutely blown away and completely sold. I sectioned my hair into 4 and then took 1″ sections to then insert into the Rev-Air wand. My hair fresh out of the shower is actually super tangled so I use a Wet Brush to give it a few swipes to get some of the major knots out before inserting into the Rev-Air wand.
I leave my hair in the Rev-Air for about 15-20 seconds (no need to move the Rev-Air wand up and down the hair or anything — I just hold it up against my head right near the root of my hair!). The suction is actually really gentle and can be customized based on your preference. I use a speed setting of 3 out of 10 and find that works perfect for me. There are also 2 temperature settings (High and Low) — the Rev-Air actually uses such minimal heat that I use the High setting without any issues!
Once I remove my hair from the wand, I give it a brush with the Goody Clean Radiance hairbrush and the results are incredible. My hair looks healthy, shiny, and smooth. And is honestly even better than when I get it freshly blown out at the salon!
WHY YOU SHOULD GET A REV-AIR HAIR DRYER
The Rev-Air works on ALL HAIR TYPES. And while I don’t have curly hair, it’s supposedly a miracle-worker if you do. As it’s the easiest thing that dries and straightens hair in one process. I personally love that it dries my hair in a fraction of the time. Plus, it makes my hair frizz-proof for literally the entire week so that I don’t wash my hair; because it uses such little heat. Allowing my hair to grow stronger and healthier!

Frizzy hair is the worst! I’ll have to check these products out
I’ll have to look for some of these! My hair can get so frizzy. Not as bad as it did when I was younger, but I still struggle with it!
I’ve been using Frieda products but I think this Rev-Air dryer might do an even better job of fighting frizz!
I like that it uses less heat because I know for us curly hair babes it’s bad for our hair.
My hair has so much natural frizz – I’m always fighting it with silicone smoothing products & straighteners!!
Kileen, your hair is so much longer than I realized! I havent tried any of these products but I will add these to my list. My hair is so thick and I am always on the hunt for new things to try.
I need the Rev-Air dryer in my life! Oh! I wish I could afford it – it sounds amazing! I love Keratase products – they use them at my salon!
My hair is so frizzy. I’ll have to try these out
I have super frizzy hair, so this is really helpful!
That hair dryer looks intense and kind of cool, I’ll have to try it out!
Okay, I am now SUPER intrigued by the reverse hair dryer! I have super curly hair which is a NIGHTMARE to straighten, and considering I’ve been straightening it regularly for 12+ years, I am sure it could use a break. I’ll have to look into getting one!
Kerastase products are the best. I don’t use hair dryer in Summer…I leave my hair the way it is (I have super curvy hair), but in Winter I use kerastase and similar products to take care of it. So thanks for your tips x
I would love to see if this helps my hair…Summer has not been nice to it 🙁
love ouai! I need to try that hairbrush!
I was using a great leave in spray that I found on Birchbox that worked perfectly, but it got discontinued. So bummed!
My struggle is less with frizz and more with greasy flatness because I have such thin, fine hair. But grease and flatness PLUS frizz is the worst – and that’s what I experience when I visit more humid cities! Yikes! Thanks for the tips!
my wife wants one
My hair is so frizzy and I hate it! I keep damaging it with my straightener :/ This looks so amazing thank you so so soooooo very much for the kind, generous, amazing, awesome, and extremely incredible opportunity!!!!!!!!!! Keeping my fingers (and toes and eyes lol) tightly crossed for a win!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love it. the youtube tutorials show that it’s for different hair types and that it works on thick hair and love how fast it works.
Ooo thank you so much for sharing, my hair has been SO frizzy this summer. Im definitely going to try some of these!
The frizz struggle is real for my curly hair this time of year! This Rev-air sounds simply amazing and I’m making a note to try it in the future!
I want to try this hair dryer and the kerstase products!! xo ~ Megan
Ok, wow. This product sounds amazing! I want to try it so bad!
oh man…i sooo needed this post! My hair has been struggling so much with the humidity this summer
I love that this dries your hair so quickly I do not have long hair but it does that a while to blow dry.
I have used Kerastase products and I really liked them.
I have been wanting to try the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil but was on the fence about it. I think I will have to try it now.
Looks like such a cool dryer. It is so innovative
My hair gets so frizzy! I need to check out some of these products! Thanks for sharing.
I Reeeealy want to try the RevAir! My hair is so thick and I dread drying it, it is such a huge chore! This looks great!
My hair always gets frizzy when it’s damp and humid outside which l can’t stand it anymore! I will have to look into getting one of these products to give it a try! Thank you for sharing this❤️
Okay now I want to try this. It looks like a total game changer.
love to try these products. thank you
Thanks for all the tip & tricks! I’m in NYC – VERY humid! – and I struggle with my frizz all the time. Nothing seems to work…gonna try the Kerastase products…when I can afford them, lol!
My hair has been getting so frizzy with this dry heat, I def need to try out some of these products!
We love Keratese too!!!! And that dryer looks intense but awesome that it works. I definitely deal with frizz.
I have no idea how to fight frizzy hair, other than to put a lot of goop on it that weighs it down! I’m anxious to try these products. The dryer has me intrigued!
Although my hair is straight, I like that it dries in half the time.
Do you every apply Kerastase Cicaplasme and let your hair air-dry? I need heat protection and split end help, but I usually air-dry and curl later.
I haven’t actually ever tried that! I’ll give it a shot next time and see how it goes.
xo,
kileen
I need to try this hair dryer! It sounds like it will help my frizz hair! But it makes sense because in dry climate my hair is not frizzy!
I’ve never heard of frizz sheets! How cool!
My hair gets extremely frizzy, especially in the summer. I love that this dryer dries hair with less heat so it does not cause damage.
Would love to try this – fingers crossed!
Thank you xx
I like that it’s an an all-in-one tool that works for every hair type.
This hair dryer looks so amazing
I really want to try it.
My daughter has really curly hair. I’d love to see how this works for her hair to tame it down. We would love to try it out.
That is the craziest hair tool. I would love to try it. Looks super simple to use and your results were beautiful!!!

This sounds wonderful. I would enjoy this hair dryer for all the reasons you stated and also the fact it doesn’t hear me up because it doesn’t blow hot air on me. I am in menopause and sometimes am perspiring during blow drying my hair. Thanks so much for this great opportunity.
What a cool tool to help with the frizziness from summer heat and humidity! I use a similar brush and love it 🙂

The Rev air sounds really cool even though I rarely blow dry my hair.
I’m lucky in that my hair doesn’t get too frizzy.. My mom has the curly hair in the house.. She keeps her hair short and uses lots of frizz products
I think this hair dryer looks so intriguing and fantastic. I definitely want to try it. I don’t know many hacks or tips for keeping hair frizz free. I generally apply a lot of serum and oil to my hair, damp or even dry. Sometimes I use a good amount and then seal it in by blowing cool air from the hair dryer on it.
I have wavy hair that gets very frizzy. This sounds like it might work better than the oily “smoothing” products that I use now.
i think this would be great for my hair! my hair is so frizzy
Expensive but sounds amazing – rinse hair in cool water helps me with frizz.
An ability to fight frizz would be great! I currently wash my hair in cold water to try to combat frizz, but it doesn’t seem very effective.
I think that this is really cool. I use anti-frizz products.
I love this! I have very thick unmanageable hair and would love to try it!
Oh this sounds like such a good dryer! Frizz is a daily thing I have to deal with so this sounds great!

Definitely something I’d like to try. I’ve never figured out an effective way to deal with my frizzy hair.
I have very curly hair that frizzes easily. I don’t blow dry my hair because I don’t have the proper type of hair dryer. It’s a problem if I need to leave the house before my hair is dry. This would be wonderful!
I spend so little time on my hair due to lack of quality hair tools – this would take me to that next level.
This air dryer sounds amazing!
Undeniably consider tһat that you ѕaid. Your favourite reason seemed to be at tthe
web the simplеѕt thing to consider of. I say to үou, I certainlу get irked evеn aas people
think abbout issues that thyey plainly dⲟ not recognise about.
You cotгolled to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the wholе thing with no
need side effect , folks could take a signal. Will probably
ƅe back to get mօre. Thank you
This product looks awesome! I would love to try it because my hair gets really frizzy.
This reverse hair dryer looks very nice!
This sounds like a wonderful dryer for my curly/frizzy hair.
I looks amazing. My wife and daughter would love it.
I think it looks awesome! I would love to try it.
I think my hair would love this! Looking forward to trying it.
This hair dryer looks wonderful!! I have a few different products I use to combat frizz including a Frizz-Ease serum. It helps!
My wife would adore this Rev Air she is always saying she would love one
It sounds amazing to use and I dont need any frizz so its perfect to use on my hair.
This hair dryer sounds like it’s made for me. I want one so bad it hurts. I don’t even like hair dryers that much, they’re kinda like toasters, there but who cares about them that much. This sounds like what a toaster would be if it could actually make avocado toast and pop it right out. But this dryer sounds as if it will make my hair movie star quality. I not only want this but I really think that I need it.
I got a Revair too. It’s an interesting tool, that’s for sure! ANd does help de-frizz, my hair gets super straight with it.
