I’ve mentioned it before, but Banana Republic is totally hitting it out of the park right now with their newest arrivals.  When I saw this pretty Gerber Daisy navy floral print in Banana Republic’s latest collection, I knew I had to have it in my closet!  And after trying on a few of their difference pieces including the blazer, midi skirt, and pencil skirt, I decided to go with these pants as they’re a great option for the office as well as for the weekends when I’m out and about with the kiddos.

While I’ve been a big fan of their Sloan pants (see on me), these pants are in their Avery fit and I will admit that it might just be my new favorite!  It’s a bit looser than the Sloan fit all around while still being fitted.  On those summer days when the humidity can be stifling, I know I love having clothes that have a little breathing room!  These pants are nice and stretchy, not too tight without looking sloppy, and best of all, hit perfectly at my ankles without any alterations (I’m wearing size 0P)!

Banana Republic is running a spring 40% off everything sale right now (code BRSPRING)!  I popped into the store a couple days ago and did a little damage (this jeweled sweater, a pencil skirt in this print, and these Avery floral pants).  This striped cross-hem top was a seriously close call (see on me) as was this pleat-hem layered tank.  And, given how much I’m obsessing over the perfect fit of these pants, I’m seriously considering the chambray pair too!

Dylan and I had a little date last weekend and it was so good to have some alone time with this little guy.  When I was pregnant with Kennedy, a friend told me how important it was to have “dates” with your kiddos every now and then and I can’t recommend it enough!  I know that Dylan often feels like he’s competing for attention these days so a day for both of us to reconnect, just the two of us, was so therapeutic.

Meanwhile, Dylan loves to splash in puddles.  He’s gone through three pairs of rain boots in his three years and let me just tell you, this boy plays HARD.  Without fail, a few months after I pick up a pair of rain boots, I find a rip in the rubber of his rain boots and we end up with a wet, smelly mess.  This year, I knew that we needed a more durable option!  I did my research and landed on these KEEN Encanto rain boots and let me say, they are amazing!

KEEN has long been a brand that I’ve trusted as we’ve gone through two pairs of their ‘Newport H2’ sandals (see on Dylan here and here), and I can literally say that they are one of the best sandals we’ve ever purchased for Dylan for both their durability and quality.  The Encanto rain boots also live up to the KEEN reputation!  These boots have both a reinforced toe and heel to prevent blow-outs along with a padded collar for comfort and support.  The boots are easy for Dylan to slip on by himself and have easy pull tabs on each side to make it effortless.  They’re designed for the active adventurous kids and are incredibly lightweight and flexible.  Dylan can still run, play, jump, and splash to his heart’s content!

My absolute favorite feature with the KEEN boots is actually the bungee closure at the top of the boot shaft!  Only too often did I find a pool of water in Dylan’s previous rain boots with water that had come in from the boot opening.  Thankfully with this bungee toggle lock, I can make sure the water stays out and his feet stay dry!

Dylan has been wearing these new rain boots every. single. day.  Rain or shine.  I honestly can’t get him to take them off as he loves them so much!  And I have to agree — these boots are pretty stylish so I can’t blame him!
