This Disney princess dolls post is an #AD from Hasbro. All opinions are 100% my own.
Calling all Disney Princess lovers!! Get excited cause there is a new lineup of Disney Princess dolls that have been released just in time for the holidays! It’s no secret that we’re a big Disney-loving family over here but omg, the squeals of happiness when Mei saw her custom Disney Princess box were unreal! It was truly Christmas come early for Mei and for the rest of us, and the sprinkling of Disney magic was just what we needed!
Disney Princess Dolls
In 2020, Hasbro worked closely with Disney to release a classic lineup of Disney Princess dolls that highlight the individuality of each Disney Princess. There are 11 Disney Princess characters in total: Ariel, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, Snow White, Tiana, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, and Merida. Disney Princess characters are iconic and as a mom, it’s so incredible to see my 5-year old Mei enjoying some of the same Disney Princess moments from the same movies that I enjoyed as a kid over 30 years ago!
First things first: a princess needs her crown! At the top of the custom Disney Princess box sent to us was a DIY foam princess crown along with a set of stickers and letters to decorate (note that the crown is special to this box provided as part of this campaign). Mei loves crafting of any kind and within minutes was rocking her princess crown — I love that she even put the letter ‘M’ at the top! 😊
Now on to the Disney Princess dolls! We received in our box Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Mulan, Cinderella, and Belle in our box, and it was nothing but heart eyes for our little Mei! Each Disney Princess was outfitted in a beautiful dress that sparkled from top to bottom with shoes and tiara accessories to match. I loved watching Mei as she took each princess out of its package and studied all the intricate details — she even pointed out that every Disney Princess had designs on their high-heel shoes!
Mei’s favorite doll was definitely Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. She loves the idea of fairy tales and very frequently requests that we read the story of Princess Aurora / Briar Rose during bedtime. I’ve loved watching as Mei will dress up the dolls in a fun mix/match of outfits (the skirt portion of the dress is removable, as are the tiara and shoes!), but even more so, I’ve really enjoyed the role play make-believe as Mei comes up with the most creative stories when we play with the Disney Princess characters together!
I love that we’re able to have the magic of Disney Princess in our home as we read and watch our favorite Disney stories. Disney has always done such an incredible job portraying different personalities that girls can relate to when it comes to Disney Princess characters. At approximately $9.99 for each doll, these make great holiday gift options. Parents — you can even pick up a few different Disney Princess characters to give to the princess enthusiast!
