We had ourselves a bit of wind and rain a few days ago and I bundled up in a cape, scarf, and rain boots! I picked up this cape last year and it’s been one of the few I’ve found to be petite friendly. The length skims right at my hips and even when buttoned, it doesn’t look overwhelming (see here).
Rain boots have been on my closet wishlist for some time now but I’ve never had any luck with a style that either doesn’t come up too high or isn’t too wide in the calves to make it look like I’m playing dress up in adult shoes. When Jean recently posted about the Tour style, I was sold. These boots fit like a dream on my shortie legs and the tapered top avoids the gaping calf issue that I’ve always had previously. Needless to say, I’m kinda looking forward to rain in the forecast these days!
