When I first saw this skirt on the J. Crew Factory website, I passed over it without a second look. The colors look dark and muted, and I even thought the brocade pattern was a bit mature for my taste. I decided to take a chance though when I noticed it on sale and am I ever glad that I did! The brocade pattern is absolutely stunning person as it glimmers in the light with each step. And while the green and black combination did look dark online, in person it gives the perfect subtle and classy sheen. I played up the green by pairing it with a teal sweater and topping it off with an cozy gray cardigan. I wanted to dress down the skirt for a more wearable, everyday office outfit so pairing it with less structured pieces in a soft colorway did the trick!
