I started out with this outfit:
But then I changed my mind and switched into this outfit:
Have you ever had those days when the fabulous outfit you had in mind doesn’t quite work out once you put it on? I started out with the first outfit consisting of my OTK boots and my H&M blazer. I really liked the way it looked but decided it was a little too edgy for the office and switched into just a simple look with tights and Mary Jane pumps. Which look do you guys like?
In other news, I am officially on Christmas vacation now!! I’m writing this in the Dallas Airport as we speak. The last few days were ridiculously busy as I was frantically trying to finish up work and pack for my 10-day trip, while still entertaining friends visiting from out of town for the holidays. And now, it’s finally time to exhale. I’m sitting here in a cushy seat with two hours of paid internet time and a never-ending stream of people-watching opportunities. ^_^
Hope you guys are having an awesome day!

Oh my gosh, Kileen, I love both looks! I saw that skirt at Target the other day and didn't think much of it, but now that I see how you styled it, I totally want one!!!!
I really really love the pink cowl plus the pink under the lace skirt. SO PRETTY.
I think the second outfit would have looked really cute with the OTK boots, too! 🙂
i really love the first look but i understand the feeling. it works out great in my mind then bleh when i put it on. however you look cute in both outfits! 😀 have the best vaca!

I change my mind all the time so I can empathize. 🙂
Love your outfit today (you know I love pink and lace and tights). Have a great vacation, I am not officially off until tomorrow so I am really excited for you.
Definitely #2.

I love these looks on you! I have been trying to find outfits to wear with my tall over-the-knee boots and this one has inspired me!

Both looks are really cute, but I agree that the first is a little too much for the office. Congrats on making it to holiday break! Have fun, you deserve it.
No Guilt Fashion
you wear those heels to the office? wowza.
I would have still kept the blazer.
@AubreyOhDang! thanks! i was kinda thinking the same thing too. 🙂
Kileen I absolutely love both looks! You get to wear such fun things to work! Do you work in the fashion industry? Hope you're having a WONDERFUL week so far!
🙂
@April haha, i wish i worked in fashion! i work in the financial services industry (boring!) and the dress code is pretty flexible if you don't interact directly with clients. I'm a software developer so I kinda work in my own little world and can get away with fun outfits. 🙂
I like both outfits, but agree that the first is probably best for the weekend. The second is a cute alternative for the office 🙂 Have a good vacation and happy holidays!
what a pretty skirt! Love the first look/pic! You look so pretty!!!!!!!!!!
That is a very nice skirt. I love ow you pair it with different shoes. Thanks for sharing the photos and drop by me too when you have time.
Cheers.
That skirt is awesome…I actually like the first look better, but agree that for the office the second is more appropriate 🙂
You look gorgeous in both doll! xoxo
i think if you paired the boots with some sheer black tights, you may have been able to wear it to work. otherwise the bare skin and short skirt is more evening wear.
I like the second look. The shoes are very nice.

Love the second look a bit more 🙂
I think both looks are great in different ways, but switching to the tights & pumps for the office was a good choice. Those OTK boots are hot!
You have beautiful legs 😀 I favor for the lace skirt and tights!!! You look stunningggggg,,,,,
I think you were smart to switch to the second look. The blazer was just a bit much, but the look without it is wonderful!
The Auspicious Life

I've had those days, I think up an outfit, put it on and think oh god really? I do prefer the second look so, so chic and not fussy!

I love both outfits, but I really adore the shoes in the second outfit.
You are so lucky that you are on Christmas break. I only have 1 1/2 days off. Boo.
