A week before Christmas and it’s finally starting to look like winter! As you can see, it’s looking a little stark outside these days as all the leaves have fallen and everything’s starting to hunker down for the colder months ahead. I kept my outfit simple yet warm as it was going to be a busy day filled with running errands outside early on that day and enjoying birthday festivities inside later on that evening. I was actually really excited that I could wear my fur snood as I’ve had this item for almost a month now but it just hasn’t been cold enough to warrant bringing it out. I kept the rest of the outfit very basic and was in a rush to get out of the house, but in retrospect would have added a bit more color and/or accessories to the look to make it pop. Either way, I was still loving the soft feel of fur all day!
And remember when I mentioned that my mom bought her first pair of skinny jeans thanks to seeing my pair? Well, here’s a picture of the two of us wearing our awesome black skinny jeans!

So on to the festivities! Sunday was actually my mom’s birthday and we had a little celebration complete with birthday cake and all. Since we’re not having an Asian fruit cake for the wedding, we of course had to order one for her birthday! So here it is in all its frosting-filled glory:

and my mom insists on wearing heels everyday even though none of her friends do anymore. and yes, both my parents are taller than me (my mom is 5'4" and my dad is 5'10"). the rest of my extended family is tall too! i'm just the odd one out.

My mom just got a pair of skinny jeans too and she loves them! I think they're perfect for any woman as long as they find the right fit. It just gives them extra confidence! =)

@Stylepint This Tulle jacket was actually really big on me — the sleeves were at least 2" too long and the body had an extra 4" in width. I had my mom alter almost everything about this jacket since I really liked the style and bought it for $45 off Ideeli, which I thought was a pretty decent price.
This was the first time I had seen XS for a Tulle brand, so I went ahead and bought it, but I would not recommend this brand for petites at all. Too bad though cause they do have some cute stuff!

@Angga i was originally going to get these hemmed at the bottom, but then as i wore them more, they kinda ended up riding up a bit just from sitting down and standing up a lot. it eventually gets to the point where it's not really long anymore, so i decided not to have them altered. these jeans are as-is! 🙂
